One classmate writing from a hospital bed, after experiencing his first illness in 69 years, "still expects to make our Fortieth." Yes, he is Charlie Beats of East Bridgewater, Mass. His daughter Mary, the '07 Class Baby, is now returning to Africa to resume her teaching career for another ten-year period.—A rugged family, the Beals family! Charlie will certainly make the Fortieth.
Miss Martha Crocker, daughter of Crick andMrs. Crocker, was recently married in Newton, Mass., to Mr. Robert A. Boyajian, New York City. Mr. Boyajian and his bride will make their home in Akron, Ohio. Crick and Mrs. Crocker we hope will return for '07's Fortieth.
Boston's '07 Luncheon on the last Wednesday of each month continues to be most enjoyable. All '07 visitors are cordially invited to drop in. The '07's Fortieth is currently the chief topic of conversation.
"Yes, I am planning on attending our Fortieth," writes Hermon Hill from Washington, D. C., and goes on to report a vacation trip to the West Coast last summer. He missed SamBarnes in Seattle but found Joe Mahoney in Denver. He reports that Joe is in good form, interested in gardening and fishing, and operating a successful cross-country trucking business. Hermon reminded Joe that '07 has a Fortieth next June. We certainly hope both Joe and Mrs. Mahoney will be with us.
The resignation of Commissioner William J.Minsch as Director of Revenue and Finance at Montclair, N. J., is announced in a recent issue of the Montclair Times. In accepting Bill's resignation his fellow-commissioners passed a resolution which reads, in part, "We think it highly fitting that we record our appraisement of this colleague of ours, the appreciation we have of the contribution he has made to good government in our town, our affection for him, and our regret at his decision to resign. Bill has proved himself an able, unselfish, unbiased public servant."
