Keith Wood will not be able to leave Lisbon, Portugal, for Hanover in June as he has to attend a convention of one of the companies he represents, to be held in England. He will have a chance, however, to see his sister who has been living there for the last 27 years and whom he has not seen since 1933, when he was on his way to South Africa.

Nat Rice and Dorothy took a winter, 10- weeks' tour to the West Indies and spent five weeks at Barbados. Down in the Lady Rodney and back on Lady Nelson. Constance Rice was married on February 13, to Donald W. Gray of Meriden, Conn., who is a sophomore at Kenyon College. They are living in Gambia, Ohio, while he finishes his education.
Herman Parkinson's father, William D., died on April 10, in his 90th year. He was secretary of his class, 1878. The sympathy of our class goes to Herman and his family. The College has lost a tireless worker and a great friend of all Dartmouth men, particularly the officers of all classes.
At the class gathering and the New York Alumni Dinner on April 14, at the Hotel Commodore, Fitzpatrick, Wells, Caterall,Towler, Mac Donald, Bronk, Meleney, Smith,Alden, and Remsen gathered to talk over the Reunion and listen to President Dickey.
Ralph Samuel, on April 12, was elected president of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York. Ralph is senior partner of the firm of Ralph E. Samuel and Cos., and for the past many years has been most active in the Federation's and other philanthropic interests. He now heads a network of 116 medical and social welfare institutions that annually serve more than 350,000 of all races and faiths in New York.
Vic Olsen is general manager of the Detroit Transmission Division of General Motors, having given 32 years of service. Here's hoping he'll take time off for a bull fest with Mose Linscott, Bob More and others.
Mr. and Mrs. George B. McClary, Mr. andMrs. Jiggs Donahue, and Mr. and Mrs. Frederic "Jack" Alden were visitors in Hanover at the Inn during April.
The first 10 men to reply "Yes" on the postcards mailed with the Class address list were Jewett, Thomas, Terry, Riley, Smith, Robinson, Merrill, Gay, Pierce and Ashton, followed closely by Samuel, Fairbanks, Nelson and Scharrer. George Knight received 25 cards, postmarked during the first 48 hours after cards were mailed. Lots of interest, you bet, for the number is 78 now.
Herb Osborne's daughter Carolyn receives her master's degree at the same time as our reunion, so he is planning on the 40th now. Carolyn is sailing on July 3, for Rome, Italy, for the American Academy summer session, and then teaches Latin at Beloit, Wis.
Ed Grothe had to change his Hanover-in- June plans. His wife is in the hospital with a serious heart condition and he is "just getting over a heart spell." His disappointment is keen for he had not been back since 1913.
Len Martin and Alice in March had a twoweeks' trip to Hollywood, Florida, and managed to escape some of the worst Missouri weather. With the expected arrival of two grandchildren they are staying at home this June. Landon '4l is in the Martin Mfg. Cos. with Dad. Len is also in the trust Cos. and interested in scouting.
Bob Conant writes: "I just returned last Saturday from a week's orientation course in the Naval Air Program of the Navy held at Pensacola, flying from Boston to Pensacola each way and, on the return trip, making it from Pensacola to Quonset nonstop. Spent one day on the aircraft carrier Wright and saw the boys go through part of their training. They demonstrated other tactics and gave us a very informative and enjoyable experience"
