Here's a review of Boston activities:
December 14, Harvard-Dartmouth Basketball Game—Over 100 alumni, with frier.ds and members of the family, attended the buffet supper at the Hotel Manger immediately preceding the game. Many more reserved seats for the game through the Association and sat together to form a strong Dartmouth cheering section. The game itself, was a thriller all the way, with the final score 72 to 68 in favor of the Big Green, after going into overtime. Strangely enough the other game on the double bill at the Boston Garden, ended with the same score, Holy Cross 72, Bowling Green 68. College basketball in the Bean Town is on the up grade; if you have an opportunity don't miss the same kind of action-packed ball when Dartmouth meets Holy Cross on March 7.
January 26, Boston University—Dartmouth Hockey Game—This game was also preceded by cocktails and a buffet supper, this time at the University Club. It was the first appearance of the team this year in Boston and the game was well attended. If you missed the B.U. game, you still have a chance to see this year's team play Harvard February 16, or Boston College February 28.
