Way back in May your Secretary went to Hanover for the annual class officers meetings. There were several other '4ss on hand so we had a short reunion. Of course Mary and Nick Sandoe, Carol and Bob Allen and RogBrown, our Hanover representatives, were on hand. And Betty and Stan Newton were there. Rog's big news was that he had bought a house in Norwich and was marrying his Barbara in June. As yet I don't have any of the details but I'll pass them along later.

Mrs. Peggy Bones Broderick was strutting around acting very much like she enjoyed being the new grandmother. Son Jim and Barbara had just presented her with a grandson, James Carrol Broderick, on May 4. Young Jim weighed in at 9 pounds.

I also picked up some news about a girl from my old home town, Tiffin, Ohio. Had to go all the way to Hanover to learn that Mary Kuebler was marrying John Byrnes on Saturday, May 13. John is in the Grand Rapids office of the Travelers Insurance Cos.

Got some late information on John Foster. He and Margaret are in Champaign, Ill. where John is Assistant Geologist for the Illinois State Geological Survey. Their big news is John Lawson Foster born March 31, 1950. At four months he had raised his 9 lb. 4 oz. up to 151/2 1bs

Of course, the biggest class news is that Don DeB. led us to another ist in the Little Green Derby. He sends along his thanks to all who helped make the drive a success. It would seem that we could get the whole class aboard the bandwagon for next year. We had some very tough competition this year and things were too close for too long. Don deserves a big pat on the back since he changed jobs right in the middle of the drive and worked day and night to keep up to date. Don and Mimi bought a store in Branchville, N. J. According to Mimi they sell everything but groceries in the place. I'm sure they will supply anyone wishing it a map of just how to get there to see them. And, also according to Mimi, the store is doing well.

Had a letter from Bill Hardenstine from North Bergen, N. J. He wanted us to know that he and Helen have a two-year-old daughter (she could be almost three by now because I got his note so long ago). Bill is with The Underwood Corporation in Sales in New York City.

Rubin Miller is a CPA practicing in New York (Brooklyn, that is). He is still single. Why, he didn't say. Paul Muller wrote him while Paul was on his summer cruise with the Navy.

Here's the funniest thing I received all sum mer:

"Dear Secretary, Due to a state of complete confusion for the past month or so, and to the fact that I can't round up a single ALUMNI MAGAZINE or Newsletter at this point we're still in a state of being packed up I can't for the life of me remember who you are." How do you like that? Of course, I should hasten to add that the man was just married so I guess he had valid excuse. Oh, the life of a secretary.

Jug Agry is with the Simmons Cos. in Buffalo. (No, Jug didn't write that—although he might well have.) John T. Ahearn is with Stone & Webster Engineering Corp. in Chicago. Bob Grunditz is a sales man for Frozen Products, Inc., and lives in Lowell, Mass. WillHufstader is still selling Buicks in Evanston, Ill. Halbie Lewis is an accountant for RCA Victor Tube Plant in Marion, Ind. GuilioPontecorvo is a graduate student at the University of Calif., in Berkeley. Bill Riley is a salesman for Richardson Scale Cos. and is living in Short Hills, N. J. Bob Ross still holds forth in Miami, Fla., where he is a special agent for an insurance company. Herb Sandberg is an instructor at C.C. N. Y. Howie Walton is a sales representative located in San Francisco. Charles Anderson is a chemicals buyer tor Dow Chemical Cos. in Midland, Mich. Dr. Robert Kugel is living in Ann Arbor, Mich. William Porter is in law practice in Columbus, Ohio. John Randall is a medical student at Bellevue Medical Center, N. Y. C.

Summer visitors in Hanover included Sue and Blair McClenachan, Paul Cover, Dr. andMrs. Bob O'Conner, Eliot Mover and Betty and Stan Newton.

We had three members receive their BA degrees at Dartmouth last June. They were Ernest Alexander, Richard Momsen and Bruce Symonds.

Lisle Carter was awarded a LL.B. cum laude degree at St. John's University in June.

Marriages: Ted Bel fit and Florence Grace Jefferson in Tucson, Ariz., in May. Florence is a graduate of Halifax Infirmary School of Nursing and has been a nurse in the Royal Canadian Navy. Ted has accepted a job in the physical education dept. at Columbia.

Bob "Lefty" Grunditz and Carol Lorraine Shawcross in Lowell in June. Carol is a graduate of Mount Holyoke.

Charlie Cashin and Mary Ann Griffin were scheduled for a June wedding. Carol attended Mundelein College.

Bob Epstein and Margaret Cecile Burtaine in Hartford in April. Margaret is a graduate of Julius Hartt School of Music. Bob is with Brown-Thompson in Hartford.

jack Gile and Charlotte Ellen Lyman in Hartford, Vt., also in April. They are now living in Augusta, Me., where Jack is a special agent for New Hampshire Fire Insurance Cos.

Bill McVie and Sally Collins in Great Neck in May. Sally attended Green Mountain Junior College and is a graduate of Paine Hall School.
