Nine members of the Class of '55, 5 fathers and 24 alumni turned out at the Olde Wayne Club in downtown Detroit for the annual send-ofE luncheon given the new men before they left for Hanover. This year's meeting was held on September 17 and was topped off by a showing of "My First Week At Dartmouth." Comments from freshmen and alumni alike were completely favorable and it was the concensus of opinion that the club made a wise move in purchasing the new film for use in soliciting good men from schools in the Detroit area in the years to come.
Jack Scolaro '42, president of the Detroit Club, welcomed the new men and wished them well in the coming year and Dick Dickson '50 gave them some tips on the best route to use in driving up to school. Everyone enjoyed the luncheon and again Michigan can well be proud of the fine group of boys we have to represent us in the Class of 1955.
