A well-deserved tribute to Dr. Harry C.Storrs for his 40 years of service to the mentally retarded was paid on November 25 at the annual luncheon of the Welfare League for Retarded Children. Harry has been senior director of Letchworth Village, N. Y., a model institution for the care and treatment of the mentally retarded, for 21 years. Its work has gained world-wide recognition. Among those present was James A. Farley, former Postmaster General of the United States. He is reported as having said that New York State was "lucky" to have Dr. Storrs since "there's no man alive in the state who has tried more to be helpful to those who come within the scope of his direction. He's a real, sincere human being who tries to help others as though they were members of his own family."
