At an Alumni Council meeting it was voted, "That classes younger than the Fiftieth that have missed or would shortly miss the regular five-year formal gatherings be permitted to hold reunions in Hanover in June to the limit of the facilities available to them as determined by the College: and the priority in scheduling reunions for 1945 shall be given in the order of seniority of the classes." This means we may get together in June although it is recognized that the attendance may be far below former reunions. Plans have been inaugurated to appoint a reunion committee and you'll hear more specific details later.

As predicted Sherm Adams (R) was elected as Congressman from the Second Congressional District of New Hampshire. Sherm won very handily and his election was assured soon after the returns started to be reported. .... And speaking of those in the political field, Cy Rounseville is still dealing out justice at the Massachusetts State House as Commissioner, Industrial Accident Board.

It was reported last month that Don MacDonald had been transferred by Life Magazine to St. Louis. His address there is Shell Bldg., 1221 Locust St Bing Whitaker can now be reached at 130 Manning St., Needham, Mass. Al Foley was the only scheduled speaker at the Dartmouth Club in New York on November 10, Dartmouth Night.

Mrs. Charlie Sargent writes that the Lieutenant Colonel has been in France since early July. She has had no direct word as to where he is or was but by piecing together various bits of news she has determined that he is in the thick of the fighting. Her note ends, "It makes a great story while the letters keep coming, but oh! .... when there's a lapse."

I hesitate inserting what might be thought of as a "dunning message" each month but under the circumstances it seems the natural place to repeat the fact that Roc Elliott has built up a larger financial obligation through the MAGAZINE subscription and the class history which can only be met by all of us paying our dues. Also, '18 and '19 each made a 25 Year Gift to the College of well over $20,000. Our picture to date includes only $9,000 in bonds and pledges. We've a long way to go. Any gift made, of course, is deductible for income tax purposes and if you send in a War Bond make it a Series "F" made out to "Trustee of Dartmouth College, a Corporation, Hanover, N. H." Stan Newcomer wants me to "impress the fact upon our class that their one and only chance to provide a memorial to Dartmouth is through the medium of the Class Memorial Fund."
