Cap Pierce has finally moved into his new five million dollar home in Pomona, Calif. A look at the post card he sent me would make one think that his home was a city itself as a consists of 251 units plus a fortybed medical service unit. The address is 900 East Harrison Ave., S S C-A15 Pomona, Calif.

Con and Grace Chellis spent the night with us on their way to their winter home in St. Petersburg, Fla. They reported the arrival of another great-grandchild, born on July 8, 1961. This makes number three.

The formal opening of the Edgerton House, the Episcopal Student Center, on School Street, Hanover, took placs in October. This was built and furnished through the generosity of the Halsey Edgertons.

After 45 years as a Whitman Public Library trustee and 25 years as board secretary, Randall Cooke resigned in September. Because of his many other public duties he still will not have any use of his rocking chair.

A letter from Nat Leverone advises that Bucky Kraft died on September 30 after a long illness.

Roy Denison passed away on October 13. Harvey Whittemore and Art Chapin represented the class at his funeral on October 17.

Madalyne Brock, widow of MaynorBrock, was honored by the Kansas City Women's Chamber of Commerce on September 26 at a Special Recognition Dinner, for her service with the Naturalization Council. At this dinner the Madalyne Brock Foundation was officially launched.

Our Boston dinner, held at the Algonquin Club, the night before the Harvard game, was a most enjoyable affair for the seven classmates who attended. However, a son, a son-in-law, two 1905 men and two 1907 men helped to make it a very interesting evening.

President Powers presided and provided most of the entertainment with his humorous stories and called on each of the diners to supply the intellectual background.

The members present were Chapin, Cooke,Cromwell, Leverone, Powers, Redman, and Russell. The guests were Roger Brown '05, Halsey Loder '05, Alan Brown '07, Bill Smart '07, Robert Russell, Norm's son and Dr. Hill, Cromwell's son-in-law.
