Bill Yakovac was appointed in July as Pathologist to Childrens Hospital of Philadelphia. In his work assignment he will also hold a faculty appointment at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Bob Ives announces the opening of The Robert S. Ives Insurance Agency, featuring complete insurance service and insurance engineering service. Previously, Bob was a local insurance engineer in Danvers, Mass., and he opens his office in this same town. He has been trained as a Safety Engineer with the Century Indemnity Company, Boston. His work with this company brought him in contact with the problems that confront commercial, industrial, and residential owners in Eastern Massachusetts. A transfer to the home office of the Aetna Insurance Group in Hartford, Conn., brought him into the field of engineering.

A July letter from Bill Knight in Shrewsbury, Mass., tells of his visits over the past few months with Bill and Jane Lynn, Herb and Irene Wik, "Mo" and Shirley Morrison, and bachelor Jack Keville. Bill also mentions Roger and Madge Reynolds, Shrewsbury residents, and Tom Chace, associated with Roger in his work with the Wyman Gordon Company.

Richard B. Menin and Associates is made up of a group of life insurance consultants, all members of the Million Dollar Round Table and whose experience in this field totals some seventy years. Dick Menin is one of the four members of this group which handles life insurance personal estate planning, and executive benefit programs. George Lendrihas was elected first president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce in Hackensack, N. J. George is a former United States Treasury narcotics agent and is now president of the Lendrihas Holding Company. Lieut. C. Everett Myers, who was sworn to the District of Columbia bar in the fall, has now been accepted into Judge Advocate General of the U. S. Navy. He is a graduate of the Columbia Law School, and is currently stationed at the Pentagon, is married to the former Alice Cilley of Concord, N. H.

Leonard R. Kojm, Public Information Officer on the staff of Rear Admiral Frederic B. Warder, Atlantic Submarine Force Commander, left New London, Conn., in July to be executive officer of the submarine USS Bergall stationed in Key West, Fla. He had been selected for the rank of Lieut. Commander. He is the only submariner with a master degree in public relations (Boston University).

Paul Miller has joined the Mutual of New York Insurance Company Home Office sales department for a program of managerial training. Paul and his wife have four children.

John Amorosino has been appointed New England Sales Representative for Jens Risom Design Inc. of New York City, manufacturers of contemporary furniture for both residential and business interiors. Bill Kennedy will now head the fire loss department of Peerless Insurance Company in Keene, N. H. Bill has a law degree from Boston College. GeorgeRusch is president of The Cloverland Commercial College in Escanaba, Mich. In March he was expecting nomination as a candidate for the City Council, although he had not yet announced his candidacy. George and his wife Virginia have three sons and first came to Escanaba in May, 1954 in the employ of the Hoyler and Baur Baking Company. In September, 1956 he took over Cloverland Commercial College which he heads.

Bob Allen was named the most outstanding young man in the community by the Barre, Vt., Junior Chamber of Commerce. Bob is a charter member of the four-year-old Jaycees in Barre and had been very active in community affairs. He is the vice president of the Allen Lumber Company and has done architectural work for both the Barre and Montpelier Divisions of his company, as well as drawing up remodeling plans for several churches. He graduated from the Wentworth Institute in Boston in 1948 where he pursued an architectural course. Bob married the former Miss Sylvia Watkins in 1947 and they have four sons.
