Letter from Wayne Perkins started in May, and with periodic paragraphs added from time to time, finally reached me September 15, when Perk was about to enter hospital for cataracts. Here's hoping all goes well, brother Wayne.
Peacham has gone - few men in the class have suffered more from illnesses and yet rarely complained. His thought was always for the other fellow. Your Secretary will miss the many helpful letters sent him by Peacham - with news of classmates. As someone in the class has expressed it - "if any member of 1904 gets to heaven it will be Peacham." See his obituary in the memorial section of this number.
Johnny Fletcher is getting restless. His plans may embrace a trip to Spain, perhaps to Mexico again also. Hope Sally and the Secretary can see John and Augusta in March. Did you see the article on our esteemed sister, Dr. Sara Jordan, in the October issue of the Reader's Digest? Read it. A very distinguished lady, whose work at the Lahey Clinic of Boston has won her world-wide renown. She plans to write a syndicated column six days a week and also a book based on her long medical experience. The Class of 1904 Salutes Sara.
