We are sorry to report the death of Charles Mougey by heart attack May 5, 1959, in Bozeman, Mont. A full report will appear in this issue or a later one.
Bob and Barbara Keane are the proud parents of Robert Edmunds Jr. born in Monroe, Mich., July 21. The Keanes also have two daughters and are now living in Michigan after a stay of several years in the vicinity of Baltimore, Md. Bob is job engineer with United Engineers and Construction Inc.
Joe Flounders has been elected president and treasurer of Schuylkill Paper Co. Joe became associated with Schuylkill twelve years ago in the sales department. He was successively general manager, vice-president, and executive vice-president. He is vice-president of both the Paper Trade Association and the Printers Supplymen's Guild, and a member of Book Clinic and the American Institute of Graphic Arts. The Flounders have a four-year-old son Joe.
Berkess Carroll has announced his candidacy for alderman-at-large in Chelsea, Mass. He is married to the former Emma Ladd of Winthrop, Mass., and is the father of three children, Linda, Betsy, and Berkess 3rd. He is presently and has been manager of Chelsea Motor Mart, Washington Ave., Chelsea.
Howie Doolittle is zone manager of the Hotpoint Division, General Electric, in New York City, living in Chatham, N. J.
Concord College at Athens, West Va., does not ring a bell with many people in this part of the world but it has a distinction now that is likely to make it more widely known. It has just chosen as its new President a 34-year-old assistant professor of economics at Dartmouth, Dr. Joe Marsh. Joe graduated with us magna cum laude and received an M.P.A. degree at Harvard in 1949. Joe is the son of the president of Concord College from 1929 through 1946. Father and son presidencies of the same institution are not common.
A nice letter from Dave Holmes tells of the birth of a son Daniel Parsons last December 29. Dave and Bonnie are living in Winchester, Mass., summering in Marblehead. Dave is State Agent for London and Lancashire Insurance Group in Boston and has held this position for two years. Previous to that, he was Special Agent for the same company in Buffalo, N. Y. Dave tells of the birth to Jim and Betty-Lou Osborne of their fourth child, Susan Dayton on April 23. That is a wonderful family. The Osbornes are still located in Sandy Hook, Conn. Our last records show Jim working in sales with Youghiogheny Ohio Coal Co. Our records may now be outof-date.
A fine letter too from Fred Sistare tells of his coming change of assignment with Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company. Fred has been gaining experience in their home office for almost twelve years, but was scheduled for September I to begin work at their Springfield, Mass., agency as a life underwriter. Fred and Carol have a family of three children, Deborah 9, Paul 5, and Pamela ela 2. Fred tells of last year's Brown, Yale and Princeton football games, and of the playoffs for the basketball championship with Princeton, and later with West Virginia at the Garden.
