In the October notes I did not mention Gertrude and Karl Brackett in connection with copies of newspaper stories in the class letter. Hope they will pardon me. Before leaving N. H. last summer Marion and I had the pleasure of seeing them in their home in Campton. Karl is still braiding rugs which are works of art. They celebrated their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary in October.
A letter from Hermon Farwell told how he and Elizabeth had their fiftieth anniversary. Unfortunately Elizabeth was in the hospital, but two sons, the daughter, three in-laws, and eight grandchildren visited her, one or two at a time. The hospital staff aranged for Hermon to eat in her room, which was a bower of flowers. Last report indicates Elizabeth improving steadily and before long expects to return home.
George Elderkin had an interesting article in the August issue of "Liberal."
A letter from Wattie told of his trip to and arrival in Lawrenceville, Va. He has promised to write a letter, copy of which will appear in a class letter. Hope for a letter from "Duckie" who is in Europe, which can be included.
My son's older boy entered Dartmouth this fall, making the third generation in the College. It would be interesting to know how many others there are in the class. In Hanover had a very short but pleasant visit with Ida May and Charlie Dudley in their attractive home. They had a fine season at their camp for girls.
