Bob Winship (Palm Beach, Fla.)

Latest news from the sunny South to the frigid North: Having left Buffalo last fall to try my hand at pill rolling down in the land of the "you all," I found it much to my liking and so am now putting down roots, including the purchase of a southern mansion, 1959 style, ranch house. Aileen, my sweet spouse, brought us our first boy, to add to our two girls. I'm working in Palm Beach at Lewis Drug Store, as general damager, especially to the purse strings of the rich old dowagers. Love the life I lead. You can have the vagrancies of that western N. Y. weather. There is a small but enthusiastic alumni group in Palm Beach that meats and drinks once a month loudly proclaiming old school ties and that Hanover was never like this. Once a month is all we can put up with these nostalgic affairs.

Barbara and Jay Rosenfield have had a daughter, Amy Lora, to add to Kim, and Kenny.

Dwight Haigh (Glendale, Mo.): "I was transferred April 1 from Charlotte, N. C., to St. Louis and am presently District Sales Manager of Libbey Owens Ford. My wife Phyllis is still sticking with me, in spite of getting transferred around the country every three years. We still have two boys."

The Marine Midland Trust in Syracuse has appointed Bob Hartkemeier Assistant Investment Officer. Bob came from Central Trust Co. in Cincinnati, where he had been serving in the same capacity.

Len Smith (West Hartford, Conn.): "We are now located in a new old house, I might add happily although somewhat in a barren state. When you acquire an older place, the refurbishing needs are extensive. It is into this state which we enter with years before completion." The good doctor is a plastic surgeon with five dandy children.

Charlie Fay (Okinawa): "Finally made Major, as did Dean Merrill. Harv Nolan also made it in USMCR. Dean and I are due for a trip to Okinawa, a short tour with the Third Marine Division. As an engineer I'll probably be assigned the Third Pioneer Battalion. Since some of the Marines have been flown into Thailand, I might have some interesting news about S.E. Asia before I return home again. Norma and the children are staying in Phoenix, since no Marine dependents are allowed."

Bill Bellows (W. Springfield, Mass.):

Now three children; soon to be four. Have just moved to this 45-year-old home after having had two new ones before. The old ones have something the new ones don't: room. Have just been promoted to Claim Supervisor for Springfield-Monarch Ins. Cos. Hear from Ed Clogston frequently, and saw a lot of Dick Day before leaving Worcester. He sells GMC trucks. Dropped recently into the Milford newspaper office and there was Roy Lovell.

Pete New (Kansas City, Mo.):

I finally collared John Stockwell and Nancy to our place for dinner. He seems to be running a very busy life, as the enclosed newspaper account will testify. (An article about the new era in Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, where John is Administrator. This hospital is on the road to becoming a major hospital for children in that part of the country, and John is one of the key figures charged with bringing the required expansion and development about.) In Cincinnati recently I called Dick Hoar to say hello. He's in the Dept. of Anatomy of the U. of Cincinnati and is doing a great deal of research. Has one child now. My wife stopped in Chicago to see Reed and Kay Parker. Reed is now a partner in his security analysis firm and hops all over the country. Am going to Chicago and Atlantic City, where my wife and I are giving several papers, and hope to play hooky on a trip to New England.

Ritchie Hunt (173 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn 1) has a new wife, Elizabeth Ann, whom Chuck Yardley and Reed Parker witnessed him marry.

Dave Vogels (2636 Trovero Way, Rancho Cordova, Calif.): "We have left San Antonio for California. The sudden move was caused by rush orders shipping me oft to school at Mather AFB, where I'm taking the Advanced Bombardment Course, electronics and radar bombing. After graduation in December will likely be assigned to a SAC B-52 unit. At least I finally finished law school... got my degree in January from St. Mary's University of Texas. Hope to be able to take the Texas bar exams sometime in the future. Finally promoted to Major and feel very fortunate, as only 1170 of the 17,000 eligible captains made it."

Charlie Holtzman (Roslyn Heights, N. Y.) Dr. H’s wife Natalie: "Charles has plunged into his medical practice with much vigor and bounces home about midnight for dinner, which is why I have to write his letters. His new practice is most interesting, and the hours will get more conventional as time goes on."

Chink Meyer (Rio de Janeiro): "We are in a rush packing and repacking for a move to Brazil, where I will be Treasurer of Jersey Standard's Brazilian affiliate. I saw MikeMarchese at the U. S. Embassy in Rio during a short visit there a few weeks back. He is a political officer with that establishment and reports there are a dozen Dartmouths in the environs who have formed the nucleus of a 'How the hell are you' club."

A clipping crossed the desk. It advised that Martin Elinoff (Boston) is busily engaged with a firm of interior decorators, Coe Associates.

Bob and Persis Alden sent an announcement of Stephen Frederick's recent birth, as did Rus and Betty Blackwood regarding that of their second child and daughter Rebecca Hamilton.

Professional notices column.... Gil Nelson has joined the B. E. Beavin Co., consulting engineers. Bill Marden, with the firm of Henry Blatner in Albany, has been licensed to practice architecture in N. Y. Bill Riley was selected to attend the National Teacher-Student Conference on Peaceful Uses of the Atom. Bill is biology instructor at Hanover Park High School, in New Jersey.

Fred Smith picked the appropriate day, July 4, to marry. His bride: Miss Sharon Higbie of Washington, D. C. They are in Santiago, Chile, now, where Fred is Legal Advisor to the Delegation of American States.

Leonard Hamilton Frey himself finally married. It was in San Diego, on May 31, to Kathryn Thurston. Mr. Frey is in the California educational circles. When he writes more details we shall pass them on.

Bill Davis has been appointed Manager of Product Design for the Stanley Steel Strapping division of the Stanley Works. He will direct design and product development.

Alan Hodges (Boston): "I note in your excellent Directory recently arrived that I have become not only a bachelor, but a childless one. Though I often think back fondly to those days, I like it better this way and submit to my wife's pressure to set the record straight, assuring my classmates that I still claim Dorothy as wife, Linda and Keith as heirs."
