Between 450 and 500 alumni, undergraduates, wives and dates turned up at your Philadelphia Club's Cocktail Party following the Penn game on Saturday afternoon, October 3. The switch in location of the party to the University Museum, directly across the street from the south side of Franklin Field, resulted in such an increase in attendance over past years that we were caught unprepared and were unable to take care of all who arrived. We offer our sincere apologies for this unfortunate development but guarantee that we shall be able to handle the entire crowd next year. We learn by experience, and this year's turnout exceeded our fondest expectations.

Social Chairman Hi Allman '55 worked long and hard on arrangements for the party. Having the affair at the University Museum required arrangements and preparations which we never had to worry about when the affair was held at a hotel. The increased turnout resulting from the proximity of the Museum to Franklin Field makes it apparent that these arrangements were worth the great deal of additional time and trouble required.

On Wednesday, September 9, forty alumni, undergraduates, and their dads gathered at the Dartmouth-Princeton Club for our Annual Freshmen Send-Off Dinner. Ten members of the fledgling Class of 1963 were among those present. Randy Malin '59, whose undergraduate activities included not only being soccer captain and lacrosse but also Phi Beta Kappa, gave the best introductory talk to our freshmen that we have heard in many years. Following Randy's talk, two color movies, "Dartmouth Visited" and "Skiway Story," were shown.

Three Mondays ago (although it will be almost two months by the time you read this report), we moved into a separate dining room of the Dartmouth-Princeton Club for our Monday luncheons, the lounge on the main floor, straight ahead as you come up the stairs. This move has already improved attendance at these weekly luncheons and has brought several new faces into our group. How about joining us there next Monday?
