The August issue of "Civil Engineering" carries a fascinating article entitled "The Civil Engineer in Fiction" written by Sam Florman '46. Sam has made a real contribution to the profession in his delightful account of the roles played by civil engineers in world fiction. In his less erudite moments, Sam serves as Vice President, Kreisler-Borg Construction Company, White Plains, N. Y.

It is with great sadness that we record the recent passing of George Andretta '53. George had been seriously ill and death came only after a long and courageous struggle.
