Northern New Jersey

This month will mark one of the highlights of the season for the North Jersey Club, when the Glee Club makes our area a stopping point on its annual spring safari. Within the past few years we have had three highly successful Glee Club appearances in Montclair and one in Westfield. This year, the concert locale moves slightly to the west and out of the Essex-Union County area to give the strong alumni representation in Morris County a chance to show itself in a big turnout.

The concert, co-sponsored with us by the Madison YMCA, will be held, Wednesday, March 25, at 8:00 P.M. in the auditorium of Madison Junior High School. That's very easy to find, since it's right on Morris Avenue, the main street of Madison. Prime movers behind the event in that sector are Dannie Provost '41, Josh White '41 and BillCarter '39. Tickets by mail may be acquired through Bill Carter at 333 Woodland Road, Madison (FRontier 7-5222). Ducats, which will be on sale at the door (if there are any left) will be two dollars each.

Other events on tap for North Jersey are the annual reception for accepted freshmen, in May, and the outing and picnic, tentatively set for early June. Further reports on these as details become available.
