The first person I met upon my arrival in Hanover, Monday, April 27, was Ned French. He looked as young and healthy as he did the day he graduated. Said he was feeling fine and not working too hard.
Grace and Con Chellis are back home in Meriden, N. H., after their winter in Florida.
A letter from "Fat" Pratt advises that Maribel has been in a nursing home' for the past nine months. I am sure the class wishes her an early and complete recovery. And speaking of "Fat," I feel sure that if any classmate saw him on the street, they would recognize him. It doesn't sound possible but his present weight is 174 pounds.
Have just received notice that Dan Carr died in Haverhill, N. H., last October.
Art Chapin, Norm Russell and yours truly were in Hanover, May 1 and 2 for the class officers meetings. Other class members whom we saw around town were Francis Childs, Halsey Edgerton and Bill Page, who drove on from Camp Hill, Penna., just for the ride.
The May 2 edition of the Boston Herald carried a story of a new dormitory being built for the Cardigan Mountain School at Canaan Street, N. H. The building will be named for Edward Sanborn French of Springfield, Vt., who is an original and still active member of the school's corporation. The French Building will be the eleventh on the 146-acre campus.
