Dear Gang - Well the holiday season is over and it's back to the grind. This month several '46ers made the news including Bob Beetham who was appointed director of program for the United States Council of the International Chamber of Commerce. Bob has been associate director of program at the Council since 1953 and now is responsible for the staff work of the seventeen committees of U. S. business-leaders. After Dartmouth, Bob completed graduate work in economics at "Columbia University and has taught economics at the U. S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, Rutgers, and C.C.N.Y. . . . "Tall Ted" Jones has been named manager of advertising at Arvin Industries in Columbus, Ind. Ted will also be a member of the firm's top managerial group and he had been assistant advertising and sales promotion manager prior to his recent appointment. Ted has been with Arvin since 1952 and has moved up the ladder fast after graduation at Hanover. The company, among other things, manufactures summer furniture. ... Down in the neighboring Queen City of Cincinnati, Rod Beach, who is now headmaster of Miss Doherty's College Preparatory School (primarily for girls), was featured in the most recent school magazine. Rod and his wife, Ann, are the parents of twins who attend kindergarten at Rod's school. In addition to his headmaster duties, Rod is also teaching one section of Senior American History
'Disa & 'Data of 46's - Got a nice card from Frank O'Neill from San Francisco recently — Frank is touring the West looking over job opportunities and is putting an eye on both Phoenix and 'Frisco - Frank, when you get back to Phoenix, look up Dr. Wayne Frerichs who is practicing medicine in the Arizona town. . . . Andy Murtha, our esteemed class treasurer, is back in New York in the radio business where he has been doing a lot of traveling in helping manage his firm's many stations throughout the country. . . .A friend of mine in Pittsburgh reports that Dale Armstrong is going up the ladder fast at U. S. Steel and is one of the fair-headed young executives in the Steel City. . . . Johnny Steele continues his great work in helping build and operate Hilltop Cement in Cincinnati — it is one of the largest cement readymix plants in this part of the country. . . . Chuck Cunningham is a Pathologist and is in Springfield, Vt. . . . Bill Deal trey is an Accountant for the National Broadcasting Company in the Big City. ... Bill Morris is a Credit Manager for GMAC up in Portland, Me., and Pope Marion is a sales engineer for the Scully Signal Company in Melrose and lives in Concord, Mass. Pope has recently been working in the Big City and living at 149 W. 12 th Street. . . . Dr. John J. Murray Jr., is Chairman of the Department of Pedodontics at Baylor University College of Dentistry in Dallas and Rev. Sam Brown is Pastor of the Congregational Christian Church in Swanzey, N. H., near Keene. . . . Dick Fahlman is Head of the Laboratory at Huggins Hospital in the Granite State at Wolfeboro. . . . Don Holsworth is a lucky one living in Largo, Fla., and is a sub-contract purchasing agent for Minneapolis-Honeywell and Wallace Baker is Assistant Professor of Law at George Washington University in D. C., and living in Arlington, Va. . . . Frank Carleton, the old Denverite, is down in Van Nuys, Calif., and Captain Norm Potter is in the United States Air Force and living in the town of Napa in the Golden State. . . . MajorMike Spark is still in the service and is living in Alexandria, Va., and Bob Pretat is associated with the Caribe Motel in Homestead, Fla. (near Miami).
