Laadiez and Gentlemen, if you will now devote your attention to the center ring you will read of the most fabulous act to occur this century. Twenty-two hours before leaving to spend the holiday season in Europe this article is being leisurely composed. Hope is going crazy with passports, shots, packing, getting the dog settled elsewhere; and I am calm and cool. It must be that I don't understand the situation. It is interesting to note that on the return trip we land in New York two hours after we take off from London.

The spokesman for the bachelors of the class is Fred Kumm. Fred is now in the Army stationed in Frankfurt, Germany, until June '61. Fred states the he finds "escape in the company of Brad Leonard '56 and his delightful Norwegian wife Berit, on skiing ventures into the Alps almost every weekend. Jack Tansey and Bill Burget '56 are currently in Heidelberg and I have often spent a pleasant weekend there. Please mention to any Hanoverians in Germany to get in touch for a Lowenbrau Blast or like good sport."

Al Rollins, who is now at the Yale School of Forestry, has been burning up the books. Al just won the Scott Foundation Award. He was able to spend some time in the Scott plant studying their paper-making methods, attend a dinner in his honor in Philadelphia, and collect the stipend besides. Congratulations, Al. Also in the doing end of things, Gordon Hally has completed a sales training program for the Armstrong Cork people and is now working in Los Angeles. Down in Mexico Peter Donald is working for the United Fruit Company and, as far as the newspaper reports state, successfully dodging the hurricanes which rip up the area every-so-often.

This month George Walsh is to be married to Miss Janet C. Stebbins. Janet attended Colby College in Maine and presently lives in Needham, Mass. Bob Adelizzi and Miss Thomasine Starr Lane have announced their engagement. Bob's fiancee graduated from the University of Southern California. Staff Krause and Charlotte Kolb were married in the fall. Staff is with U. S. Steel in Pittsburgh. Charlotte graduated from Goucher College in June. Fred Harris and Miss Sylvia Samel were married last fall too. Fred is working for his law degree at Penn and Sylvia recently graduated from Penn. Phil Lippincott and Miss Naomi Prindle were married in California. Naomi is the sister of Walt Prindle. Jim Dawson was the best man and among the ushers were Chuck Ashley and Walt. Naomi went to the University of California at Berkeley.

Tom Ely and Miss Lucinda Beatie have announced their engagement. Tom is an accountant in San Francisco while Lucinda is finishing her senior year at the University of California. Dan Goggin and Miss Constance J. Cummings have announced their intentions, too. Dan is in the Marine Air Corps at El Toro, Calif., and his fiancee has recently graduated from Garland Junior College. BillFlood and Miss Joanne Audrey Reynolds have also announced their engagement. Joanne is a graduate of Marjorie Webster College, and Bill is a lieutenant in the Air Force.

This is a "shorty" article because of the impending event. We have not decided whether to be the Laurence Sterne or the Auntie Mame type of travelers. Either way we will be broke on the return. Best to you all. Au revoir.
