The Tuck School Association of New York set a new high in attendance at the annual evening meeting, held in May. George Conklin T'37 was elected president and Dick Lombard T'54 secretary-treasurer. Tom Curtis '33, College Trustee, member of the Tuck School Board of Overseers, and U. S. Representative from Missouri, was principal speaker and gave an inside report on some of the new legislation before Congress.

Attending from Tuck School were the Dean and Messrs. Davis, Drowne, Foster,Guest, Hennessey and Webster.

Mr. Davis spoke to a group of Tuck alumni in Minneapolis in June.

Mr. Lent participated in the third annual conference on Savings and Residential Financing, held in Chicago, by the U. S. Savings & Loan League.

Mr. Morrissey served as instructor in the management development program given by Professor George Taylor of Thayer School on Analysis of Spending Decisions.

Mr. Broehl's article on "Human Relations Training in American Business" has been published in Italian in the 1961 issue of the Rivista Internazionale di Scienze Economiche e Commerciali.

Mr. Guest presented a paper at the annual meeting of the American Psychological Association, New York City, September 5, on "Facilitating Change in Large Organizations."

Mr. Prater attended the program for basic mathematics for application to business, at the Harvard Business School, during July and August. The program, sponsored by the Ford Foundation, includes continued study of mathematics during the coming year at the College.

Al Frey T'21 spoke on the "Approaches to Determining the Advertising Appropriation" at the Los Angeles Conference of the American Marketing Association, at which sessions he assumed the presidency of that organization. This past summer Al taught marketing management in the executive development program at University of Michigan's School of Business, and during the year ahead he is responsible for the marketing portion of the University of Pittsburgh's management problems for executives program in that institution's Graduate School of Business.

George Kenney T'25 has been appointed by the Phoenix of Hartford Insurance Companies as manager for Canada. GordonChipman T'27 has been elected vice president of Dartmouth College's Class Newsletter Editors Association. Don Benjamin T'29 has been appointed comptroller at American International College, Springfield, Mass. Larry Kenny T'29, vice president of the Glens Falls Insurance Company, has been appointed senior underwriting executive in charge of all property, casualty and bonding lines of insurance for the company.

Jim North '32 has been appointed a corporate marketing counselor at General Foods Corp., White Plains, N. Y. Bob DicksonT'34 has been elected president of Walter Kidde & Co., Belleville, N. J. Steve DietzT'36 has been promoted to senior vice president of Kenyon and Eckhardt, Inc., New York City. Ray Ammarell T'39 was recently promoted to general manager of Sports Illustrated.

Henry Griswold T'40 has been appointed to the advisory group and chief counsel for a special sub-committee on state taxation of interstate commerce, a part of the committee on the judiciary of the U. S. House of Representatives. Lew Johnstone T'42 is now associated with the I. V. Sutphin Co., Cincinnati, Ohio. Roy Rowan T'42, formerly domestic affairs editor, has been appointed assistant managing editor of Life Magazine. John Pritchard '43 has been appointed credit manager for the Stanley Works, New Britain, Conn. Jack Grimm '44 has been named vice president and marketing director of household products division, Colgate-Palmolive Co. Herb Storfer '44 has been elected president and director of Parfums Corday, Inc., a subsidiary of Max Factor & Co., Hollywood. Walt Howe T'46 has accepted a position as staff associate for African affairs with the American Council on Education, Washington, D. C. Marcel Richard T'47 has joined the firm of Conery, Davison & Jacobson, CPA's, Providence, R. 1., as manager of their tax department. Charlie Buker T'48 has been promoted by the Harris Trust & Savings Bank, Chicago, to assistant vice president. Babert Brooks T'49 was recently elected vice president-finance of the Murray Corp. of America, Pittsburgh. John JenningsT'49 has been appointed director of market research and new products coordinator at John H. Breck, Inc., Springfield, Mass.

Arthur Andersen & Co. has announced the promotion to managers in their Boston offices of Dave Lubrano T'56, Charlie MorrisonT'55, John Newton T'54 and PaulWilson T'55, as well as Gene Ulrich T'51 to manager in their New York offices. LloydKrumm T'50, who has been on leave this past year from the International Paper Company attending the Stanford-Sloan Seminar in executive management at Stanford University, has been appointed assistant to Vice President Dalsemer. George Bissell T'51 has recently become associated with the Massachusetts Investors Trust, Boston. Dick EvansT'51 has been appointed assistant to the controller of Daystron, Inc., Murray Hill, N. J. Scott Olin T'51 has accepted the position of assistant to vice president-marketing of the Statistical Tabulating Corp., Chicago. Dick Lombard T's4 and Paul Paganucci T'54 are partners in the new firm of Lombard, Vitalis and Paganucci, Inc., member of the New York Stock Exchange. ByronMenides T's4 has gone into business for himself, with an associate, teaching machine and programmed material. Mort GalperT'55 has been appointed manager of market analysis and planning of the Computer Control Company, Framingham, Mass. DaveMcLaughlin T'55 was recently appointed general manager of Mid-West-Pak and Crown Plastic Cup divisions of Champion Paper & Fibre Co. Paul Wilson T'55, associated with the Boston office of Arthur Andersen & Co., was awarded a gold medal by the Mas- sachusetts Society of CPA for achieving the highest mark among those taking the state examination for CPA's. Dale Olseth T'56 has joined the corporate finance department of J. M. Dain & Co., Inc., Minneapolis, Minn, investment firm. Barry Rubens T'56 has been appointed assistant secretary and assistant to the managing officer of Empire Savings and Loan Assn., Van Nuys, Calif., subsidiary of Empire Financial Corp.
