This year the 200th Anniversary Development Program and the traditional Alumni Fund joined forces in hopes of bringing the College's two-year Capital Gifts Campaign to a successful conclusion by the end of this month. What does all this mean — plenty.

The blueprint for the wonderful new Dartmouth includes the Hopkins Center, more classrooms and laboratories, funds to retain and recruit a top-notch faculty, a new Auditorium-Arena, new swimming pool and athletic cage, and a Baker Library addition. This roll call of improvements represents a dream, if you please, of many thousands of Dartmouth men. Like any dream, some pretty solid action must come from you and me to meet the highest of challenges ever put to us or any Dartmouth family.

Now to the news at hand. Among the new teachers around Madison, Conn., next year will be Bob French. Bob receives his A.M. degree from Yale University in June and come September will teach high school English.
