Congratulations are in order for Sylviaand Larry Kruteck, who recently announced the birth of their second child - a girl. Larry is an attorney, associated with the New York law firm of Arthur, Dry, Kalish, Taylor, and Wood. Jim Dougherty writes that after spending the past summer touring the Soviet Union, he is now associated with the Wall Street law firm of Hughes, Hub- bard, Blair, and Reed. Jim graduated from Columbia Law School last June. Somewhat further along in the pursuit of a distinguished legal career is Phil Drescher, who is presently a Deputy District Attorney in Ventura, Calif. Mort Fischer is an associate with Piper and Marbury, Attorneys, in Baltimore.

Several '58's assumed additional responsibilities as a direct result of fall weddings. On September 21, at the Hotel Commodore in New York, Miss Mary Joyce Coleman became the bride of Steve Ducker. Mary Jane and Steve now live in Los Angeles where he is employed by the Department of Justice. Steve obtained his law degree from New York University in 1961. Manchester, N. H., was the scene of the wedding of Miss Michele White and Maury Mitsui. Michele and Maury are now living in Denver, Colo., where Maury is employed an an architect for an engineering firm and Michele is studying at the University of Colorado. Dr. Pete (Bad News) Flowers and Mrs. Anne Keller Brown were married in July. After graduation, Pete obtained his M.D. degree at Temple University School of Medicine and recently completed his internship at Harrisburg Polyclinic Hospital. Pete and Anne now live in Newport, R.I., while Pete serves a two-year hitch in the Navy.

On August 24, Renate V. Hassenfuss and Lieut. Ronald P. (Ron) Zwart exchanged nuptial vows in Walnut Creek, Calif. Renate and Ron, who is presently assigned to the Defense Intelligence School in Washington, D. C., are living in Alexandria, Va. Other '5B weddings, the details of which are lacking at press time, include that of Miss Barbara Allison Herzig to Hal Feuchter Jr. at the Fort Meade Post Chapel and Miss Carol Martha Watson to Charles S. Phillips in Danbury, Conn.

Turning now to more mundane '58 activities, we find that at least two classmates have made business news since the last issue. Walt (Tiny) Shea was one of four recently appointed underwriters in the accident underwriting department of the Travelers Insurance Companies in Hartford, Conn. Herb Tews was recently named manager of the bar and tube department of the Korhumel Steel and Aluminum Co. in Evanston, Ill. Herb, who has been with the firm for two and a half years, will also retain his branch sales manager post in that division.

Also in the world of business, Bob Dudley is a Field Claimsman for Nationwide Insurance Co. in Rochester, N. Y. Bob lives in Lima. Sam Gilbert is a Research Petrographer for E. S. Lavine & Co. of Norristown, Pa. Lars Persson is a petroleum geologist for Texaco, Inc. in New Orleans. Lars was associated with the Dartmouth Department of Geology subsequent to graduation. Pete Goodwin is currently an Instructor in the Temple University Geology Department.

The Prudential Building (Plaza) in Chicago is the home away from home for at least three '58's. Larry Weltin is now an Assistant Account Executive in the advertising firm of Needham, Louis, & Brorby, Inc., Owen Johnson Jr. is an associate at Kirkland, Ellis, Hodson, Chaffetz, and Master, Attorneys, and Jerry Green is a Senior Accountant at Price, Waterhouse, & Co., Inc.

Stu Gord has accepted a position as a financial analyst with Parker, Davis, & Co. in Birmingham, Mich. Joe Jacquet is a security analyst with the First Pennsylvania Co. in Philadelphia. Tryg Myhren is with the Procter & Gamble Distributing Co. in New London, Conn. Dave Morgan is a field representative for the Fafnir Bearing Co. in Woodside, N. Y. Mark Gilmore is enrolled in a training program at the First National City Bank of New York.

Cy Loutrel is a Casualty Underwriter with Chubb & Son, Inc. in New York. JimSchiller is a junior on the audit staff of Arthur Young & Co., public accountants, also in New York City. Ken Woodger is an underwriter for Boit, Dalton & Church in Bos- ton. Eric C. Thompson is a writer-director for Eva Productions in the film capital.

Word has been received of several '58's who have undertaken teaching careers at various levels of education. Rick Martin is an English instructor at Valley Forge Military Junior College in Wayne, Pa. Dan Andretta is a teacher in the Casper, Wyo., Public Schools system. Don Viny is similarly occupied in Norfolk, Va. Dick Warner is an Instructor at New York University.

Engaged in various and sundry occupations are Bob Ewing, who is a horseman on a breeding crew at the Three Kings Ranch in Beaumont, Calif. Al Ertel is at Yale Law School. Howie Bucknam is a captain and Executive Officer in the Marine Corps, stationed at Camp Lejeune, N. C. Dr. DougFusonie is completing his internship at Bryn Mawr (Pa.) Hospital. Dr. Peter Huntington is a resident in Internal Medicine at Cincinnati General Hospital.
