Hanover will soon be preparing itself for the invasion of '58's for our Big Tenth June 21, 22 and 23. (Excuse my goof in last month's column - I misquoted the reunion dates!) According to reports of various '58 gatherings, everyone is enthusiastically looking forward to some reminiscing, a little drinking, and a lot of fun! So line up your sitters and start making preliminary plans now. The Reunion Committee, headed by Dick Frisch, is hard at work and by now you should have received your first letter with a few pertinent details concerning the big weekend.

The Dartmouth Club of Cleveland held its fifteenth annual tea dance in September for the benefit of the Scholarship Fund. This year's affair was headed by Class President Dick Stoddart with Phil Ranntcy serving on his committee. The group's social event of the year was a huge success with an attendance of 400 and earned them enough funds to send two students to Dartmouth next year instead of the usual one.

The Dick Darbys hosted a Big Green cocktail party recently and kindly furnished me with some info on those in attendance. BobBolinger is assistant to the secretary of Irving Trust Company in New York City. BruceGemberling is an area sales manager for Celanese Plastics Company working out of Newark. Also working in Newark is DonMaurer for 1.8.M. Dave Pratt is selling for International Paper Company in Whippany, N. J. Sam Edson is with the Channing Company, a mutual fund, and is living in Brooklyn Heights, N. Y. Dr. Sam Smith just returned from three years of duty in Hawaii and is now on the hospital staff at West Point Military Academy. Otto and SallyWagenback missed the cocktail party because Otto was in Europe at the time! He works for the First National City Bank in New York City which selects several men to be recipients of funds generated from a trust set up some time ago for this purpose. Otto was abroad for six weeks and was joined by Sally for the last three. Not bad, eh?

Buz Giles has advanced in the John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company to director of special market sales in the general agency department. In his new position he has responsibility for the creation and administration of sales programs in special market areas such as pensions, estate planning, and personal health. Buz joined John Hancock in 1959 as an agent and brokerage manager of the Waltham general agency, following graduation from Tuck School and some time as a brokerage consultant. He and Nat and three children live in Belmont, Mass.

The '58 rendezvous after the Harvard game set up by Jeff Strayer and John Parker was a real swinger. Unfortunately, Judi and I couldn't make it to the game but Jeff supplied me with a list of those who were there with a little pertinent data on a few. Dr. Jim Brackett is a dentist in Hanover. Charlie Clark is a social worker. Skip Coggin lives up in Marblehead and is working for Dewey & Almy. Bill Cutliffe is a geologist living in Averill Park, N. Y. Joel Einfaorn and Al Labrecque are attorneys. With 1.8.M. are Gary Finerty and Kent Woodger. Two of our fellow classmen are residents in surgery, Dr. Al Gazzaniga who was preparing to leave for Australia, and Dr. Phil Stoddard. Hoyt Goodrich is on the treasurer's staff at Aetna Life and Casualty in Hartford, and Craig Haines is working for General Dynamics. Craig is living in the great seaport of Mystic, Conn.

Wheaton College has appointed Art Raybin Vice President for Development and Public Relations. He has been director of Wheaton's development and public relations with responsibility for long-range development planning, supervision of current fund-raising, including the College's $6,100,000 capital gifts campaign and public relations and publications. Art began as director of public information at Wheaton in 1958, served three years in public relations at New York's Yeshiva University, and returned to Wheaton in 1963.

That's it for this month. Thanks to those of you who sent in some news ... makes it a lot more interesting to write the column with a little human interest! Best Wishes for a Happy Holiday Season! See you in 1968!
