The Dartmouth Alumni Association of Southeastern Mass. had their annual meeting at the Cotillion Room in Taunton, Mass., on the evening of Nov. 4, 1963. Twenty-eight men sat down to a delicious chicken dinner provided by Samuel I. Stone '49 and Milton E. Stone '47, owners and operators of the Cotillion Room.
After a short business, session our President, Kenneth E. Sampson '31, called on Robert H. Zeiser '49, President of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Rhode Island, for a few words. At the Club Officers Meeting in Hanover in September Bob Zeiser was honored for outstanding work during the year and was named President of the Year. He has been very active in enrollment and he told us what the Rhode Island Club was doing in that field. He had an inspiring message and we hope our members will be encouraged to get behind and help our enrollment man, Edgar C. Earle Jr. '50.
Our own member, H. James Stone '18 of Brockton, was our speaker and he gave us a talk on a South Sea Island trip that he made last February and March. He went into the history and political background of some of the countries and islands he visited, and it was extremely interesting. Of course he spent some time describing the beautiful girls of Tahiti.
