And now in my part of the country it begins to look more like spring. And let me tell you we've waited a long time for it. This has not been a bad winter as the snow falls but has been consistently cold and somewhat unusual for the rapid temperature falls and sub-zero mornings. But it's over, and this old golfer is again testing the whip in his clubs, oiling his irons, polishing his shoes, and counting the left-over balls from last year's campaigns. That's the way it is at this time of the year.

And now that things are thawing out once again; now that warm southern breezes are loosening stiffened winter muscles; now that the smell of a new season is in the air; now that the world about begins to take on a greener hue; now, out from his long winter hibernation explodes that harbinger of spring, the Class Agent. With intent and activity he urges you to thaw out that pocketbook, loosen those finger muscles, and fill the air with green for Dartmouth.

Seriously, though, this is the time, EliotMover is the man, many are his associates, and Dartmouth is the beneficiary. Don't let them down.

Dr. John Ruppe, dermatologist of Riverhead, N.Y., has been elected the new President of the Medical and Dental Staff of Central Suffolk Hospital. BOXING THE COMPASS: Bill Brindley has been promoted to vice president of the Meadow Brook National Bank. Now manager of the bank's Rockefeller Center office, Bill, a Merrick, N.Y„ resident, has been with Meadow Brook since 1955 after eight years' experience in the banking credit field in New York City. Stan Quackenbush has been named treasurer of the Worcester County (Mass.) Institution for Savings, moving up to that post from that of comptroller, a post he had held since 1953. Stan a resident of Shrewsbury, Mass., served with the Air Force and received a B.B.A. degree from Clark University in 1948. The following information about Comdr. ErnieStaveley will give you some idea of where he is and what he's doing but from the looks of things if you set about to find him I'll bet you'll end up in security long before you find Ernie. Anyway, perhaps someone will want to try. His address is: Comdr. Ernest Staveley, USN, Member, Adv. Planning, Div. of Naval Analysis Gp., Office of Naval Research, Bldg. T-3, Room 1043, Washington 25, D. C. Got it? Now let's see you find him. And while I'm at sea you'll find Comdr. Dave Beer, MC, USN, as Chief Dependent Services, U.S.N.H. Navy 3923, Fleet Post Office, San Francisco.

That's all for this month. Your Class Executive Committee meets that month in Boston. If you have any matters that you feel should be discussed don't hesitate to contact me or Chairman Stan Newton or any other Executive Committee member. That's our job.
