Promotions continue to be the popular thing in the Class. This must have something to do with our advancing age, increasing waistline, and receding hair line. At any rate, it's comforting to realize that the world is recognizing the talents of '45.
Bob Paulson has been named to the newly created position of product manager-television for the Precision Instrument Co. Bob has been special representative for television sales in the western region and lives with his wife and children in Sunnyvale, Calif.

Charles Becker was recently promoted from assistant vice-president to vice-president in the banking department at Harris Trust and Savings Bank, Chicago. John Holdridge writes from the American Consulate General in Hong Kong that he hoped to be back in the States, but too late for reunion. This is John's second tour in Hong Kong as well as having been in Bangkok, Singapore, and Washington. John is a Chinese Language and Area Officer and Chief of the Political Section in Hong Kong.
Bob Grunditz sent his regrets at missing the reunion due to the arrival of a baby girl - "makes quite a change in one's routine after eleven years between children, but it's guaranteed to keep you young and in the PTA for another term."
Harry Roberts also missed the reunion due to obstetrical problems in the San Diego area - but in this case from a professional and not a fatherly approach. It seems that the reunion committee did the obstetricians dirt by planning the Terrific Twentieth in a "loaded month when the moon was full." We agree, Harry - damn the full moon and don't miss the 25th.
Ted Bennett, Episcopal priest, is still at the National Council Headquarters in New York City as associate secretary in the College and University Division. He admits to poor planning as he hasn't been to Hanover as yet, even though he visits many campuses in his work. Having missed the 20th, Ted asks that '45s in the New York area contact him and they'll make their own reunion.
The Class has a new executive committee, which was elected at reunion time - Johnny Brooks, Paul Caravatt, Steve Hull, John Leggat, Art Nichols, Barney Oldfield, ShortyPierce, Art Pounds, Don Sisson, Vic Smith, and Griff Strasenburgh. Frank Hutchins is the Major Gifts Chairman. These men, as well as the new officers listed in the last column, have the responsibility of shaping the Class's activities for the next 6 years - until our 25th.
The weekend of the Brown game, October 17, will find the class officers and executive committee meeting in Hanover. What with this group present, plus any other '45s who make the game, there should be a good informal reunion. Some of the group will be staying at the Calumet Motor Lodge in Lyme, so any of the class in Hanover for that weekend should make contact at that location.
