Our "Most Prolific '53" Contest was captured by John Bender with the assistance of his wife, Alice. They have a grand total of seven children, five boys and two girls. John has been in North Carolina for the past three years where he is Plant Manager for Chase Bag Company. In addition to reporting his own feats, John advises us that keen competition was provided by Dave Berry with six offspring and also from Tom Dial.Jack and Lu Morris of New Rochelle, N. Y., followed close behind with five children and although Julian and Pat Robinson claim only four children, they also have six assorted pets which gives them a total household of twelve. Julian commutes from Woodmere, Long Island, to Wall Street where he is a floor partner for his firm. Last but not least are Jim and Gay West with four, all female, which qualifies them for most girls. Congratulations to all of you and our apologies to any contenders that we omitted.
Another hat goes into the political ring - Pete Hutchins will seek the Republican nomination as York County (Me.) Attorney in the June primaries. Pete is a law partner with the State Attorney General and also serves as a district chairman for the Maine Rockefeller for President Committee. It seems to me that we've reported about a dozen different classmates as working for Governor Rockefeller. Doesn't anyone work for Goldwater, Lodge, or Nixon?

One last appeal for those who haven't yet given to the Alumni Fund and to those who might be able to make an additional gift. We're running way behind our previous records and it's going to take a terrific drive for us to maintain our position as the top class in the college.
