Quite a few marriages and promotions to report this month. The classes' most faithful field reporter, Gene Kohn, has once again provided us with much of the news. Gene has been very active in Dartmouth activities in the New York area. Besides working at Grey Advertising, he also gives much of his time to the Communications Division of the New York Civil Liberties Union. Thank you Gene, for your letters.

Marriages - there are lots of them to report. Look carefully to see if any of your few remaining bachelor friends have done it. John Guy was married in July to Virginia Moss (UNH '61). John is with the General Services Administration of the Government in the Boston office. Way back in May, JonCohen and Carolyn Benson said their vows in Needham, Mass. The Cohens are now living in New York City. Jerry Bart (Dr.) and Sandra Siebel were married in Buffalo, N. Y., on June 13. Jerry graduated from Harvard Medical School and will be working in Buffalo. Tom Torinus married Mary Sharp of Green Bay, Wis. last May 29. Tom is Business Manager of the Star Newspapers and will be living in Milwaukee. LenSchmolka was married to Lucille Schoenbaum in July. The new Mrs. is an alumna of Smith and now works for Appleton-Century-Crofts, the publishers. Len is with the Weil, Gotshal & Manges law firm in New York. Back in June, Sam French was married to Mary Oehrle (Vassar). Sam received his master's from the University of Pennsylvania but his present whereabouts is unreported.

Enough of the marital bliss news. On to careers and the world of business and academics. Dan Rosen is a Staff Director at WPIX-TV in New York City. Kevin Haggerty is with Look Magazine, also in the nation's largest. Dick Prior is in the family export business and goes to NYU Business School as well. Seth Zimmerman is traveling in Europe and writing - mainly verse and plays. Somebody said he had an article in Scientific American. Tom Creal is training at Skidmore Owens & Merrill to be an architect, and that takes eight years!

Dick Guilford has been promoted to the rank of Captain in the U.S. Air Force. Commissioned upon gradu- ation after taking the ROTC program at the College, Dick still earned his LL.B. degree from the University of Michigan Law School. Now he is assigned as staff judge advocate at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida, where he and his wife Sue make their home.

Jon Brown joined the Princeton faculty as an instructor in art history this fall. Jon spent the spring and summer touring art museums in Europe. He also was in Madrid for a year studying 16th and 17th century Spanish painters. Jim Herbert, who's an assistant professor of art at the University of Georgia, was painter in residence at the Yale Summer School of Music and Art. Jim has been at Georgia since 1962. He has participated in numerous art shows around the country and his works may be found in many collections, including Dartmouth's. John Youle has been appointed a career Foreign Service officer by LBJ. Officially he is a vice consul and a secretary in the Diplomatic Service. John and wife are living in Alexandria, Va., and awaiting overseas assignment.

Recent (June '65) "degree earners" include the following: Gary Griffin Ph.D., Dick Strehle M.B.A., Paul Freud Ph.D., and John Van Buskirk M.B.A. - all from Rutgers. Also we see that Bob Shields got a doctor of philosophy degree in geology and geophysics from MIT.

That will do it for this month - I'm rather out of news. I'm sure there are some of you out there who have yet to see your name in this column since it was started five years ago. Apologies, but I can't report what you don't tell me. Why don't you drop me a postcard during the half time of the next pro football game you watch on TV. Thanks.
