FEBRUARY 1965 WARDE WILKINS, ROBERT O. CONANT

EDITOR'S NOTE: With great sadness we report the sudden death of Class Secretary Warde Wilkins at his home in Newton Center on January 15. This month's 1913 class column was written by Warde just two weeks before his death.

Ed and Florence Sides made a trip last summer, a two months' vacation with visits to their family, 3000 miles to see daughters in Atlanta, Ga., their younger son in Norfolk, Va., and his son William '40 in Fairfield, Conn. Ed's grandson David is a sophomore at Dartmouth. Ed's general health is good but he may not have his left leg back to normal. Ed doesn't believe it so keeps working on its therapy.

We regret to include here the passing of Donald Putnam Evans in the Arlington, Va., hospital on December 7, 1964. In Memoriam will be ready next month.

Carl Shumway's daughter Lorna, who attended our 50th, is engaged to William Hamilton of Monroe, Calif., now working in Boston. They are to be married on June 26, 1965 in Lynnfield, Mass.

Harry Semmes' book "Portrait of Patton," published by Appleton-Century-Croft, Inc., New York, before Harry's death has just been brought out in a paperback edition by Pocket Book, Inc.

Chuck Riley and Barbara having sold their Yarmouthport house are at the Oaks, Apt. 3, Country Club Drive, South Yarmouth, but have gone to Florida for the winter. Harold McAllister and Carolyn are at Delray Beach near General Wilson andEdna, and the Conants and Nelsons are in Ellinor Village, Ormond Beach. More are in Florida we presume besides the "regulars" who live there the year round or ten months of it.

Christmas cards which were received from many all around the United States from classmates and widows were most appreciated and our thanks go to all.

Secretary, Box 62, Potter Place, N. H.
