Cross Country

Coach Ellie Noyes has been faced with mostly "uphill" tests with his varsity runners. The Indians lost their first four dates, one at home and three away. The Green lost here to Colgate 26-31 on October 1 to start the schedule. In a three-way run at New Haven, Columbia defeated the Hanover racers 26-31 and Yale won 15-47. At Providence it was Brown on top, 15-50.

The freshman team had an undefeated record at the halfway mark. At New Haven the '70s topped Columbia, 20-42, and Yale, 24-32. At Brown the Little Green defeated Brown, 25-36.

Fullback Vic Chaltain, 6-3, 212, was oneof the sophs to shine against Princeton.
