The William Clinton Story Remsen Hockey Arena was dedicated at the Choate School, Wallingford, Conn., December 3, 1966. This impressive building, housing the Courtenay Hemenway Rink, is a gift of the Remsen family, Paul Mellon, and Choate friends in memory of Bill, who died in 1953. Ceremony was highlighted by a special issue of The Choate News, Chapel service, Dedication Ceremony, and hockey game with the Dartmouth freshmen. Al Hardie, Bill's Choate classmate, spoke briefly. Also representing 1943 were Bud Hall, BobStokes, and George Munroe. Bill Remsen ranks among Choate's outstanding alumni with a brilliant undergraduate record. His adult life cut short so cruelly, this memorial is a great tribute to him and an inspiration for the young men following him at Choate.

Christmas greetings arrived from many classmates. Father Jim Malley, S.J. sent his newsletter about his missionary work in Brazil. I'll ask Kelly Coffin to use it in Clanging Bells. Jim's address is Centro Social Padre, Anchieta, Avenida Princessa Leopoldina, Graca. Salvado da Bahia, Brazil. ... Anne and Bob Pelren report that twin daughters Margaret and Anne have graduated from college and after a summer traveling in Europe have taken jobs with the Concord school system. ... Family pictures on Christmas cards are hard to beat; JimElleman and Shirley with their two sons and daughter wrote an essay with their faces. Wonderful card. ... When in Washington, I made my Christmas telephone call to BobGray. Thought I was some bus driver Donovan he knew. He's going to send me something on his recent trip to Omaha, where he talked to Stan Skaug, Connie Young, and Bob Williams, the former cross-country star. Bob says biographies are coming in very slowly for that 25 Year Book. If you haven't, take an hour and send him the story of your life: Room 501, 1001 Connecticut Avenue, Washington, D. C. 20036. ... Charlie Dorkey's son Charlie played on the freshman first team defensive football- unit along with another nostalgic name, Lou Young III. ... Harry Glynne, one of our better athletes, still roots hard for the Green football team, though we haven't seen him in Hanover in recent years. The Glynnes with Marcia, Johnny, and Elizabeth live in Hamden, Conn.

Tom Gerber really should give his Concord Monitor a better cut of himself, especially when making news as newly-elected president, New England Society of Newspaper Editors. Before going to Concord in 1961, he had a five-year tour as Washington Bureau chief, Boston Herald Traveler. ... George Buckner, whose address we had lost, reappears as vice president-sales, West Georgia Mills, Inc., Whitesburg, Ga. George took a bachelor's degree from Lehigh. ... Kog Thomas, special agent for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company, established a new sales record in its Hartford office by submitting individual applications for 52 consecutive weeks totaling $1,200,000 in life sales. ... Powell Groner, long absent from this column, makes big copy with a front page picture in the Kansas City Times as K. C. tops the $7 million Heart of America United Campaign. Groan was men's division chairman. Believe he is still with Western Auto Supply Company in K. C.

The Wall Street Journal calls Bill Seidman "an active, ebullient man with a passion for skiing and a broad knowledge of finance and taxation" while naming him as an influential figure in the Romney-for-President organization. Bill was Romney's special assistant on financial affairs in 1963, currently is a member of a fiscal task force for the governor.

GeGe Grant really lives life m the taxless world of the Grand Bahamas aboard his yacht "Happy Bottoms" just fifty miles east of Palm Beach. GeGe is sales manager of Freeport Realty, a small but stalwart group of land brokers in a place filled with action and with something for everybody. He regularly sees Jack Berringer, who checks on his fabulous Freeport restaurant and night club "The Island House," and last winter Bob Costello and his son Ned spent a week with the Grants and plans to do so again this year. About this time of tax and snow the Bahamas sound like the place to be.
