Hope springs eternal, but with ABM's, continuing ravages of the war in Vietnam, and a simmering revolution at home one can easily lose hope. Yet spring is the season of rebirth and maybe, just maybe, there will be progress towards peace and perhaps, once there is peace, the U.S. will channel all of its energy and resources towards resolving the pressing domestic problems that threaten the very fabric of American society.

All this notwithstanding, '67's are busy, home and abroad.

Also announcing their engagement recently were Ens. Bill Eggeling and Leslie Tarbox (Mt. Holyoke '69). Bill is serving on the "U.S.S. Davis," a destroyer in the Seventh Fleet.

This June will mark the marriage of Dave Frechette to Jane Thurston (Wells '68). Dave continues his studies at Dartmouth Med until then.

Lt. Paul Mikus has been commissioned upon his graduation from OCS at the Army Artillery and Missile Center in Fort Sill, Okla.

Colombia (South America) is Chuck Geisler's Peace Corps home. His work centers on the use of educational television in Colombia. In his spare time, Chuck edits "Porvenir" the local Peace Corps newspaper.

Marriage was Jim Edwards and the former Helen Leary's (Emmanuel '67) fate. WallySmith served as the best man. The newlyweds live in Portsmouth, N. H., where Jim was assigned after graduating from the Navy Supply Corps School in Athens, Ga.

Steve Shaffer and Karen Lagay (Elmira) have become engaged. Steve is doing graduate work at Cornell University.

The Peace Corps has beckoned Paul Killebrew. He has recently been named a Peace Corps Volunteer after completing 13 weeks of preparation in Peru.
