As we move into fall we look forward to football games and other occasions when members of the Class can get together and we hope to report on these as the information becomes available. The only report now at hand concerns the Alumni College in August at Hanover when '36 was represented by Pete and BarbaraFitzherbert and son Tom, and also Charles (Fake) Corwin and his wife Jo. Pete reports with his usual enthusiasm for the program and Fake not only enjoyed it but also the golf which occupied most of his spare time. Including this session just completed, we have had 16 members of the Class represented at various yearly meetings. Some classmates have been more than once and some have included children.

As in every activity we have some politicoes and Chet Young: keeps busy as a Massachusetts State Representative and with his wife Evie runs a busy travel service which provides an excuse for trips to Hawaii, San Juan, and elsewhere. Oldest son Geoffrey '69 is in the Army, Jonathan graduated from St. Lawrence University this year, Catharine is a senior at Connecticut College and spent an, exchange year at Dartmouth, while Sarah is still in school at Scituate. Chet complains that home, politics, and travel don't leave much time for golf. Wendell Harding, a Dean at Vermont College in Montpelier keeps busy politically by serving on the city Republican Committee. He also just completed a term as Chamber of Commerce trustee. Son Jay is with IBM, second son Larrie in the Social Welfare Department in Burlington, Vt. and Wendy just graduated from Russell Sage College to be a high school teacher. Wendell is remodeling a camp in West Danville, Vt. for a vacation home.

Fred Shurts has a vacation home in Ogunquit, Maine and from the list of his activities it sounds as if he needs it. In addition to his real estate and insurance business in New London, Conn., he has been President and a Board member of the YMCA and Lions, a Trustee and Secretary of the Board of the Bulkley School, a Board member—Family Services, Bacon and Hincley Home, and Chairman of the Zoning and Planning Board.

Leaving the Northeast for the Northwest another insurance man is Lee McGonagle, President of Pacific Empire Underwriters in Seattle. His spare time is spent working with different groups interested in preserving our environment. Daughter Lee Anne is a microbiologist at the University of Washington. William is a lawyer and Deputy County Prosecutor, Pamela is a. happy housewife and Darwin is taking time out "to find his niche." Also at the University of Washington is Bill Stimson, a physician on the staff of the Hall Health Center. His three children are in college and high school. Bill's hobbies are of the outdoor variety—sailing and yardwork. He reports occasional great dinner gatherings and bull sessions with Dick Wakefield and two '36ers, Link Washburn and Bill Lindley. Another of our medical men, JohnCartwright, practices in Bismarck, N. D. His two daughters are married but no grandchildren at last report. John is President of the North Dakota Easter Seal Society and Commanding Officer of the 311th General Hospital Reserve Unit.

Rollins International, Inc. of Wilmington, Del. recently announced the election of Bob Shertz to president. Bob, who has been executive vice president of Rollins since 1969, will now be chief operating officer of the company. Before moving to that company, he was president for six years of Matlack, Inc., one of its subsidiaries. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, Bob practiced law in Philadelphia for 15 years. He and wife Anne are at home in Westtown, Pa., and are the parents of four children.

Dick Heffler and his wife Timmie who formerly lived in Los Angeles, now live in Oklahoma City where Dick is a Vice-President and Executive Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of the Kerr-McGee Corp. Daughter Olivia is married and son Dick Jr. '72 took some time off to work. Living in Glenview, Illinois, Bob Blake is Major Accounts Sales Manager for Clark Equipment Co. in Chicago. Son David is a senior at Albert Lea College, Albert Lea, Minn. Bob has one of the best civic jobs I've heard yet as President of the Surrey Lane Association. He says his duties are to appoint a Snow Commissioner (?) and have the annual party at his house!

Ralph Ruggles is still holding forth in the food brokerage business in Northern Ohio. Ralph, Ruth, and daughter Susan, a computer programmer at University Hospital, Cleveland, live in Pepper Pike, Ohio and still enjoy sailing every summer off Cape Cod. Son Tom is a doctor at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital. Roger andMarion Morse live in the southwest corner of Ohio at Madiera where Rog is with G.E.'s jet engine plant outside Cincinnati. All three children are married and Linda lives in Denver, Wayne and Carol near Cincinnati. After going to Escondido, Calif, last year for Wayne's wedding, Rog would like to live there—no smog either. Bob andTheo Prentice live in Cos Cob, Connecticut and Bob commutes to New York City where he is Director of Marketing Information for Lever Bros. Co. Earlier this year this took both of them to London (business trip to Unilever Headquarters) for two weeks and then on to Spain and Portugal for a vacation. Great commuting!

I hope as you are reading this that you have already sent in your Class dues to Ed Higbee and put any "news" of you and yours on the reverse side of the bill.
