Our classmates that we heard from this month, with one exception, all live in Massachusetts in the Boston area. Charlieand Irma Francis are in Framingham. They have a seven-year old daughter, Betsy, and an eight-month old son, Paul. Charlie, a doctor, is working in cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital. At the same hospital is Matt Friedman, who is a resident in psychiatry. Matt lives in Boston on Beacon Hill. Charlie's roommate at Dartmouth, Harry Penn, lives in Wellesley and is a psychiatrist at McLean Hospital in Belmont.
Every so often we run into Josh Taylor in the vicinity of the Traveler's Building in Boston. He is specializing in property management with the real estate firm of Meredith & Grew. As a sideline, Josh is managing about 50 apartments he owns near Peter Bent Brigham Hospital. If anyone thinks making a million in real estate is easy, Josh says to give him a call! He also is active as a Lieutenant Commander in the Naval Reserve and, in the wintertime, officiates at ski events. Josh mentioned that during the summer he had been able to get together with Jim andCarol Baum when they were in Hanover for the Alumni College.
Glenn and Nancy Goodale and their two-year-old son, Andrew, live in Wellesley. Glenn is an accountant at Honeywell's mini-computer division in Framingham. They moved into their present home earlier this year and are spending much of their free time renovating it.
Roger Baumberger has been appointed head of the Nassau County region of New York's Marine Midland Bank. A vice president of that organization, he is responsible for corporate and retail business in Nassau County, including the operations of offices in Jericho, Carle Place, Lynbrook, West Hempstead, and Massapequa. He is also president of Bank Credit Associates of New York, a member of Robert Morris Associates and New York Credit & Financial Management Association, treasurer of the Dartmouth Club of Long Island, and vice president of New York University Business Forum.
Don Shropshire is another classmate who gets a picture in this issue, having been promoted by IBM to manager of its commercial branch office in Atlanta. He had been finance-industry marketing manager for IBM's Data Processing Division. The com- mercial branch office markets IBM data processing equipment and services to Atlanta's financial insurance, communications, utilities and transportation industries. The move up also meant a move south from Princeton, N. J., but as yet we've no new address for Don and his family. Hope to correct that next time.
Another couple busy restoring a house is Bruce and Marsha Johnson. Their challenge is a 250-year-old colonial farmhouse. Bruce keeps fit playing handball in the summer and skiing in the winter. He is a Senior Engineer responsible for designing cameras at Polaroid. The Johnsons have three daughters: Dale, nine; Lisa, seven; and Julie, four.
Bruce is in touch with George Breed and Pete Stone. George lives in Sudbury and is responsible for international sales of medical equipment for Hewlitt-Packard. pet. lives in Arlington and is a landscape archi- tect.
Eric and Bonnie Foster and their two-year-old son, Gardner, are living jn Montreal. He is a resident in surgery a" Royal Victoria Hospital. His work is pan of a five-year program offered by McGill University. Eric mentioned that he had heard from Bill and Judy Beck, Bill is a doctor with the Air Force in Texas.
