We are pleased to pass along this interesting letter from Frank Greenberg: "I thought I would let you know that, although I have not had the same "calling," Ralph Parady is not the only '6l who has shifted life styles.
"After ten years of practicing law in New York City, my wife Barbara and I decided to see how it would be to live in the San Francisco Bay Area. We had camped across the country with our two children, Pammy and Adam, now 6 and 4, for the previous two summers, and in July 1974 we made the big plunge.
"We are living in the San Geronimo Valley section of Marin County, near the Point Reyes National Seashore. We recently located a small "mini-farm," complete with wood burning stove, chickens, goats, and ponies, which we will be renting starting March Ist.
"I am still working as a lawyer (in San Francisco) having passed the California Bar in 1973, but I have managed to cut down to a four-day week average. Barbara also works two and one-half days a week as a psychiatric social worker with the County of Marin.
"We try as much as possible to share the household chores, such as booking, cleaning, laundry, and childcare. Pamray and Adam are both in cooperative schools which require a great deal of energy, imagination and time.
"We also love the openness and the readily available self-expansion movements of California. I am taking lessons in T'ai Chi (a sort of moving meditation) and we have explored other movements.
"Sometimes I wonder if we've made a smart move, but then I take one drive over the Golden Gate bridge or see one sunset, and I know we have.
"I've spoken to Fred Fields who is also a lawyer out here. I plan to be back in New York for two weeks in March and may see other classmates then."
Howie Keys' wife Tamara sent us a note that they had moved from Colorado Springs, Colo., to Princeton Junction, N.J. Howie was transferred to RCA's subsidiary, Hertz Corporation, as manager of professional staffing at 660 Madison Avenue, New York City.
Interesting that the Keys and the Greenbergs switched sides of the country at about the same time!
