The January Syndrome which has such debilitating effects on each successive freshman class has struck this column. No significant releases have filtered down from the Alumni Records office and there has been a blackout of information. The following items were gleaned from the local newspapers.

The New York Times reported in a January issue that Joseph John Jova, American Ambassador to the Organization of American States, was deeply involved in considering the dispute between The United States and certain South American countries arising out of the activities of the respective tuna fleets. It appears that Joe is cutting his teeth on a tough one.

In another January issue of the same newspaper there appeared the account of the wedding of Roy D. Duckworth III '70 who is, not surprisingly, the son of Roy D.Duckworth Jr. who is national advertising manager of that other great New York daily, "The Daily News."

Your Secretary became a father-in-law the day before Roy did, when Frederic S. Becker '69, was married in Chicago attended by a goodly number of fraternity brothers and their wives.

With plenty of my allotted space unused I can report the following changes of address. Edgar H. Hunter, Jr., 4224 Six Forks Road, Raleigh, N. C. 27609; Herbert P.W. Christiansen, Gulf Oil Co., U.S., Box 1519, Houston, Texas 77001; Converse G. Fenn, 8 Silver Court, Waterville, Maine 04901; Thomas J. Sheehan, 1228 Timber Lane, Jacksonville, Fla. 32211.

Secretary, 64 Cormack Court Babylon, N.Y. 11702

Treasurer, 60 Pierrepont St., Brooklyn, N.Y. 11201
