Franke Neumann is assistant professor of Philosophy and Religion at VPI in Blacksburg, Va. That's a beautiful area in the mountains of southwest Virginia. He and Pat are living at 3168 Sunset Blvd., S.E. in Blacksburg. They are the proud parents of Erich, class of 1994 born January 21.
In the March column there was a brief reference to Roy Hill's activity in Puerto Rico. He has recently been elected vice president and general manager for the Caribbean area of the parent company, Conagra. Concurrently, he is vice president and general manager of Molinos de Puerto Rico. "With a penthouse on the beach at Isla Verde, I swim, snorkel, paint, breathe clean air, lie in the sun, am never cold, especially when I'm watching bikinis which is often!"
Elsewhere in the Caribbean, Major Bob Cleveland, USMC is stationed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. His family is with him. They will return to the U. S. this summer after a vacation at Eric Bergstrom's resort on Grand Cayman. Bob has been selected for Lt. Colonel.
Phil Reilly was inducted into the American College of Surgeons at the Annual Clinic Congress in Atlantic City. He is a senior teaching fellow at the Boston University of Medicine and a member of the Norwood Hospital Medical Staff.
Bob Horton was recently promoted to Trust Officer of the Connecticut National Bank in Watertown. Another Connecticut Yankee, Charlie Williams, has been confirmed as a member of the Selective Service State Appeal Board. He was appointed by Governor Meskill. Charlie practices law in New Britain.
Several '55's have sent me copies of letters from senators and congressmen expressing concern for our U. S. POW's. In most cases they favor President Nixon's approach to gaining their release. One senator who has not responded is Adlai Stevenson. I urge each of you, and particularly Illinois residents, to write to Senator Stevenson expressing your views on this issue.
