When you read this the Alumni Fund drive will be in its last few days, so I urge you to send in your share now if by chance you have not already done so.

This is the last issue of the Alumni magazine until October, so I can't report to you on the Class Executive Committee meeting held in Hanover the first weekend in May, however if there is anything of great importance, I'm sure you will hear of it through Tithe. Also, we plan to reissue the address book so when you receive the card please send it back with lots of news as well as up-to-date required information.

A recent article in the Wall Street Journal stated that Horace M. Huffman Jr. will retire as Chairman of the Board of Huffman Manufacturing Co. of Dayton, Ohio. He will remain with the company in the new position of vice chairman. Perhaps Huffy will have more time to spend in that vacation home in Michigan.

Rogers Bayles, a fellow townsman of mine, recently became president of Home Capital Services, Inc. of New York, N. Y. Rog had joined the Home Insurance Company in 1936 after graduation and remained with them in various executive capacities until last year when he joined Home Capital Services. Rog and his wife Lois have three sons. The eldest, Richard, graduated from Dartmouth in '66. The youngest, Jim, is a sophomore swim team member who has contributed a great deal to the success of the Dartmouth team this year.

Class Treasurer Ed Higbee has passed along some information about WalterMosenthal. Walt is moving to Cleveland, Ohio where he is to be Athletic Director for the Cleveland Racquet Club, Cleveland, Ohio. Walt and his wife Marion have four children and have been living in Springfield, Mass. where Walt was director of the YMCA. Prior to Springfield he had been involved in YMCA programs in New Britain, Conn.; Mt. Vernon, N. Y.; and Montclair, N. J. He still plays squash and tennis and sings in a church choir and Swedish Chorus. He somehow has also found time to earn 30 hours credit towards a doctorate in student personnel administration at Columbia. We certainly wish him luck in his new venture.

A good letter from Joe Cunningham brings the news that he has formed his own company specializing in exposition management, Joe's field of activity for the past 18 or so years. Among others he will be consulting for Ralph Whitener & Co., a Washington exposition management firm. Joe and Virginia have also become great enthusiasts for sailing and for the Caribbean. Joe has had Bill Gibson sailing and also sees Boyce Price, a sailor with a Tartan 34' who says he always needs a crew. Among others encountered around Washington are Fred Gonnerman and Russ Page. Joe's interest in the Caribbean has resulted in the purchase of some land on the western end of Puerto Rico, an area described as very rough and hilly requiring a four wheeled drive vehicle to move around. He hopes to build down there with provision for a guest house eventually. The timing of all this is dependent on disposing of his present Maryland place. He'll pass the word when his guest house is ready for tenants.

An Andover, Mass., paper recently carried an article on the promotion of JohnS. Sullivan to executive vice president of the National Shawmut Bank in Boston. John has been with the bank since he graduated from Tuck in 1937 and has been in charge of the bank's administrative division since 1963. He and Evelyn have two children, Michael and Susana. John has been very active in community affairs and education on both the state and local levels. He served six years on the Andover school committee and as its chairman. He is currently vice chairman of the State Board of Education. He has served as chairman of the budget committee of the United Fund and is a director of the Community Music Center, Boston.

Haven't any more current news so will wish you all a good summer. I hope that more of you will take the time to drop us a line with news for both this column and for Tithe.
