Steve Bosworth, a U.S. State Department official, recently joined the Continental Illinois Bank in Chicago for a one-year assignment as part of the President's Executive Interchange Program. The program is designed to increase understanding between the Federal government and the private sector by placing U.S. officials in meaningful positions in private industry. Steve has been assigned to Continental's international banking department where he will be working with U.S. subsidiaries of European companies.
Steve has been with the State Department since 1962 and has held assignments in Panama City, Washington, Madrid, and most recently was acting chief for the general economic policy branch of the U.S. embassy in Paris. Steve is now residing with his wife, Sandra, and their two children in Palatine, Illinois.
Stan Bates is Chairman of the Philosophy Department at Middlebury College. Along with his wife Virginia and their two daughters, he says he is very happy to be in rural Vermont. He says that the only '61s he is in close touch with are BobHodder, his former roommate and present brother-in-law, who is a physicist with United Aircraft in Florida, and Stu Kauffman, who is in the Department of Theoretical Biology at the University of Chicago.
Frank Budeth, with his wife and three children, is now in St. Louis. He is a management consultant with Touche, Ross & Co, having previously been in their New York office. He has been in contact with Frank and Loraine Crouse, who are in Washington, D.C. Frank is a management consultant with Haskins & Sells.
From Pacific Grove, Calif., Dan Reith writes "I am getting fatter and sassier living in the holy state of matrimony with my wife Susan and engaged in a general law practice in Monterey. Also for the last few years I've been chairman of the Monterey Rugby Tournament, in which the Dartmouth Rugby Club competed with mixed results in the spring of 1960. The Club has shown interest in returning for the 1974 Tournament, I could use all the help I can get to bring it off!
