Here in New Hampshire we're all sitting around waiting for winter to end. The New Year was at first very cold and then very warm (annual January thaw). Somehow, ray recollections of Dartmouth are more distinct during winter.
To those of you who responded and sent cards on to Dave Evans, thank you. Anything that you can do will be greatly appreciated.
John Shaw says he never gets his name in print. John lives in Arlington, Va., and according to the card sent on to me, was at one time a lieutenant in the service. So what are you up to now, John?
Another Arlington resident is Jack Seymour, who returned to the United States after two years as U. S. Counsul in Zagreb, Yugoslavia. Jack's most recent family addition is Randle (1), which makes two boys. The Seymours enjoy being back, and in particular enjoy the J.F.K. Center in D. C.
Winding up his residency in obstetrics and gynecology is Bob Wolf. Bob was last seen at the Beth Isreal Hospital in Boston.
Going great guns in the New Jersey business communities is Rick Schuartz. Rick heads up four corporations, the latest being B & E Knit Finishers, Inc., and reports it is doing well. Wife Phyllis (about whom Rick is very complimentary), and sons Brad and Evan round out the family in Morganville.
Practicing law in the D. C. area is Bill Jones who does his thing for the agency for International Development. Bill says he is accompanied by wife Dawn and children Alice and Owen.
Kent Graham has been promoted by First Pensylvania Banking and Trust to vice president in charge of the commercial staff services department. Kent joined the Bank in 1965 after serving in the Naval Reserve from which he emerged as a lieutenant. He is a director and treasurer of the Old Philadelphia Development Corporation and director of Penn's Landing Corporation. He, wife Beverly, and sons Douglas and Mark live in Huntingdon Valley. We receiver a great letter from Jim Sammarco. Jim is an orthopoedic surgeon in Cincinnati, where he is affiliated with three other doctors.
Whatever he's doing, it must be right. Besides his practice, Jim manages to teach a course in Orthopoedic Surgery at the University of Cincinnati and to publish some medical papers. One of the publications (Kinematics of the Ankle Joint) won the Albert E. Klinkicht Award last year. Thanks, Jim, for the news.
Jim also sent on word of others in the Class. George Saj has recently returned from Vietnam and has plans to open up a private practice as a general surgeon in Montclair, N. J. Bill Ross has written a novel which is soon to be published. No more information is available at this time from Bill, who is somewhere in Florida and has on occasion gone to sea with the shrimp fleet.
Keep those cards and letters coming, and be sure to remember the Alumni Fund.
