APRIL 1973 RICHARD S. JACKSON, ROBB M. DEGRAFF

We have but a thin mailbag this month, but at least it is not our sad task to preface the column with a report of death. This month, to the best of our knowledge we stood firm.

President Bert MacMannis called our usual spring Executive Committee meeting for April 5 in New York City, so it has probably occurred by the time this piece reaches you. Details will be forthcoming anon.

We read in our local press that Howie Chivers has been elected to the National Ski Hall of Fame, as announced by the United States Ski Association. Howie, if your memory has dimmed, was national Nordic combined champion in 1942 and Canadian cross-country champion in 1937. He was also named to compete in the Olympics and Federation Internationale du Ski championships of 1940. More recently he has been doing his performing at the Dartmouth Skiway outside of which he is manager.

Pictured in his home town press was JunieMerriam, flanked-by two lovely ladies. They were his associates as members of the board of trustees of the Darien (Conn.) Family and Children's Aid Inc. Marty and Junie have a family representative right here in little old Pittsfield, because we happen to know that a daughter is a senior at Miss Hall's School. If our advices are correct, she also heads up the student body, and is much revered by her peers.

We dropped a note to some five of our classmates who list new addresses, but at this witching point, we have not heard back from anyone. Perhaps we'll have some details in our next. In the meantime, here are the changes: BudClifford still in San Juan, but at 86 Calle 4, Apt. 1, Villamar, San Juan, Puerto Rico 00913; BunCotton has a new street address also, and is at 3838 37th St., South, Apt. 60, St. Petersburg, Fla. 33711; Les Graves has apparently changed jobs from Reynolds Metals Co. to Diversified Construction Industries, Inc., all within the con- fines of Richmond, Va. He can be reached at Box 483 zjp 23229; Al Loberg can be contacted at Box 471. Neavitt, Md. 21652; and Phil Wentworth is now at 6 Mohawk Trail, Chatham Township, N.J.07928.

We would remind you that our Reunion chairmen. Bill Webster and Cornie Miller are looking for guys to help them out with our 1974 June gathering in Hanover. Those interested kindly contact either Web at Box 148, Old Saybrook, conn 06475 or Cornie at Box 307, Essex, Conn. 06426.

And now, if you'll excuse us, we'll be dropping this draft into the mailbox on our way to Williamstown to view a Dartmouth-Williams freshman hockey game with a couple of loyal grads who are even older than we are. A final reminder: Anyone with any news about themselves or classmates who has the patience to drop us a line will earn our undying gratiutude. We feel a bit embarrassed by the brevity of this edition.
