As you read this, the football season will be over, early snow giving promise of good skiing and Merry Yuletide greetings in store for us all.

Some of the Class witnessed a few games in Hanover this fall. Karl Stillman, the Holbrooks and the Howes had reservations at the Harvard game. It looked as if we had omitted the word "offense" from this fall's sports vocabulary - the best features were the excellent Dartmouth band, the weather, and the largest crowd ever to attend a game in Hanover. A friend from Cambridge wrote,"Three hundred more of us would be with you, had there been enough rooms to take care of us." No recession in Hanover!

Do you know that Tuck School doesn't haves slush fund and depends on its loyal graduates for financial support? The drive for funds for 1974-75 is now in progress, so try to help out. With Thayer School to grease the wheels and the financial wizards of Amos to invest the money, our competition with Harvard Business School and Stamford should be lessened. Incidentally many of us in the vicinity were interested to not that the Tuck School sponsored a seminar, October 20 to 23, through the Small Business Association, for businessmen of New England

To those of you who have asked about Pete Olds lately, I can say that he is his usual self Your secretary has some snapshots to prove it along with a group containing resemblances of Fran Brown and Helen Smith at Chatham, Mass. They all enjoy Cape Cod, where they can play golf all winter and sail over to watch movies being made in Edgartown in the summer. There is also an active Cape Cod Dartmouth Club at Hyannis to command one's interest.

From Down East, Harold (Friday) Bean reports that he and Blanche are well. The Kiwanis Club and treasureship of the Blue Lodge require a part of his energy. But he still finds time to play a wicked game of bridge and to take an occasional fishing trip to beautiful Prince Edward's Island. At long range, he keeps in touch with classmates Carroll (Val) Valentine of Bethel and Harold (Pa) Holt of Gardner, Me. Val's wife is working on a quilt which was started 100 years ago. Harold collects antiques of worth and beauty. He praises modern medicine which has helped him immeasurably in recent eye surgery.

A forewarning of Bob Boynton's decrease was revealed to us on our visit to him in September. Vic Smith and your secretary attended memorial services at the White Church on October 25, where the Rev. Davenport, a personal friend of Bob, officiated. In his passing, we have lost another faithful and dependable leader of our Class. It is sad to report the additional loss of Gordon Tracy. Appropriate notes will appear in the Alumni Magazine as details become available.
