Our 10th Reunion, scheduled for June 13-15, was the subject of recent correspondence from Reunion Co-chairmen Ron Schram and BobBartles. If for any reason you did not receive this letter, or if you have any comments, suggestions or inquiries about the Reunion, please write to Ron and Bob, c/o '64s 10th Reunion Committee, P.O. Box AD, West Lebanon, N.H. 03784.
I am grateful to Art Simington for bringing us up to date on his activities. Art and wife Lynn are living in Keene, N.H., where Art is enjoying his practice of pediatric medicine at the Keene Clinic. Art writes that Lynn, a native of Sunbury, Pa., is a high school English teacher on an indefinite sabbatical for the purpose of gathering enough clothing to stay warm in New Hampshire. The Simingtons are situated about an hour away from Hanover, and invite '64s passing through to stop and say hello.
Cheers to Mike Simonson, alias "the Spleen," who has become a member of the law firm of Simpson, Thacher and Bartlett of New York and Washington, D.C.
Apologies to Doug Montgomery, whom I erroneously referred to last month as an assistant professor at Lake Forest. Doug is an associate professor.
If you haven't already done so, please remember to mail your class dues ($10.00, made payable to Dartmouth 1964) to Bill Barnet. And while you're at it, please drop me a line with news about yourself or other '64s.
Finally, Ed Williams called tonight with the very sad news that Professor Herb West passed away on November 9, age 76. Herb's wit and wisdom touched the lives of many '64s. We. along with generations of Dartmouth students, will sorely miss him. Ed informed me that Herb's widow Carin has asked that those wishing to make a gesture in memory of Herb should send their donations in his name to the Howe Library in Hanover.
