In addition to performing its function of getting classmates together, the recent '28 Directory inspired Bill Embler to write a very entertaining sociological study of the Class based on its members' hobbies. The study, printed by Stew Hoagland in the last class newsletter, obviously entailed a lot of work inasmuch as there are 425 men listed in the directory and 98 different idle time occupations. Most popular, in order of number of listings, are: Golf, travel, gardening, fishing, photography, woodworking, reading, sailing, hunting, music, walking, and bridge.
If you want information on any hobby and haven't the time to search the whole book, write Bill or me and we'll provide you the names of those interested in philately (13), wine-making (1). bow-and-arrow hunting (1), curling (3) or any of the other 94 hobbies.

Mary and I spent the first two weeks of February in Mexico. The first week our son Doug drove us around Guadalajara and on to Mexico City via Morelia, then on down to Veracruz. Doug had to return to start his second year at the medical school of the University of Guadalajara so we spent the second week on the beach at Progresso, near Merida in Yucatan. On the flight home we stopped over in Miami and enjoyed a pleasant evening with Gene andFrances Magenis who came over to the airport from their home in Coral Gables.
