On Sept. 29 the San Francisco area was graced by the visit of President James and Susan Wright at the famed Palace Hotel, where in 1923 President Harding died, for a reception and program. More in die next Tithe.

Will Morris, son of Bob Morris, wrote that his mother, Weecie (Clarice), died last year in Pasadena. Weecie maintained close contact with many Dartmouth friends after his dad died in 1977. "Hanover always had a special place in my parents' hearts." (As it did in mine when from 1937 they began summer visits to Bonny Oaks and daily from there to Hanover—Editor's Note.)

June (Mrs. Niels Nielsen) sent me condolences for Harry Coronis's death to pass on to Rose, and for Paul Guibord's to Jackie, close but not often seen friends, and no address.

Peg (Mrs. JohnReitman) Carter sent me her class dues to forward. She was Wellesley '35, met Ray that summer. "One son-in-law and granddaughter are Dartmouth." She is chairperson of Reitman Industries, a major N.J. wine and spirits wholesaler. "We are lovers of opera, ballet and theater, hence often in N.Y.C., Maine in summer, Barbados in January."

Seymour Sims was re-nicknamed "Chuck" when he joined his brother's municipal bond firm because their worst competitor was Seymour. Chuck lost Mimi, Wellesley '36, in April "after 61 years of a wonderful life that yielded a terrific Barbara. I'm at the tail-end now and finally trying to rejoin the class." So, old friends, drop him more than a line!

Sassie (Mrs. Paul Gessler Geisel), with Meade spent time last summer in Ireland golfing and pubbing (Oh, that Guinness!) after visiting family on the rugged and beautiful North Friesian island of Syit. Stepdaughter Shipley at Bryn Mawr has Dartmouth ambitions. "Paul sold the billboard business in 1972, tired of humoring too many legislators who loved to see their faces on the boards during elections but fought them at other times."

The wreckage of the TWA Flight 800 Boeing 747 was moved to a hanger in Calverton, N.Y., while the investigation continues into the cause of the crash in which Ruth and Ed Brooks died.
