As usual the Christmas mail brought much class news. It appears that '65s almost everywhere are doing well.
Bill Affolter has dropped out of medicine for a year, and has taken up residence in West Brattleboro, Vt. No word, however, on what he's up to.
Ed Keible writes that he is now a product manager for the Metal Products Group at Raychem in California.
Hanover is the new home for Bob and DonnaMurphy and their three children. He has accepted a position with the Dartmouth National Bank. Their attendance at our June 13-15 Reunion is virtually assured.
Jack and Gerry Kabak have moved to Philadelphia, where he is a cornea specialist at the Wills Eye Hospital and Research Institute.
Another of our doctors, Joel Feldman, has become the chief resident in plastic surgery at Johns Hopkins University Hospital. Joel had done an internship and some residency at Boston's Massachusetts General.
Bryce Harbaugh is busy directing the YMCA's Storer Camps in Jackson, Mich.
Mark Eldridge is the assistant planning director for the town of Brookline, Mass. He and Valerie live in West Roxbury. Larry Duffy is also on the Brookline payroll.
Norfolk County (Mass.) has a new county defender in the person of Ray Lamb. He's living in Lexington.
Ahmed Osman has joined the Dartmouth faculty as an instructor in the Black Studies program.
Jay Wakefield is a vice president of Seattle's Medical Computer Services Associates, a medical research and education organization. He did his graduate training at the University of Washington.
One sad note in this month's news is our learning recently that J. Gillis Burns died last spring. We don't know any details.
Ed Holmes received an MBA from Tuck in June, and is putting it right to work with McKinsey & Co. (management consultants) in their Chicago office. His wife Merrilee is studying for an MBA in hospital administration at the University of Chicago.
Charlie and Judy LaFiura welcomed son Todd Allen into their lives on August 2. Home for them is Washington Township, N.J., where Charlie practices law.
Pittsburgh is still homebase for the SteveLeSauvages. He finishes a residency in plastic surgery in summer 1976. They, too, expect to be at the reunion.
Dr. Tom Klepetar has joined the Albany medical association of Hunt, Meinhardt, Phillips & O'Connell. Tom is a graduate of Albany Medical College. He and wife Neil live in nearby Gansevoort.
The San Francisco law firm of Pillsbury, Madison & Sutro is becoming a '65 enclave. Jack McLean has become associated with them (he earned his LL.B. at Wisconsin in 1972), joining classmate Don Bradley.
Another reminder that our Tenth Reunion will be held on June 13-15 in Hanover. Plans are well under way, but the key ingredient - attendance - is up to you. We hope as many '65s as possible will join in the festivities. Our estimate right now, based on returns to Rich Beams' questionnaire, is 150-200 classmates. If you haven't indicated to Rich your intentions for that June weekend, please do so soon, so that our planning can be up-to-date.
Happy days and peace!
