Assuming (but without great confidence) that a mail strike will not prevent this copy from getting to Hanover, that a printers' strike will not halt the presses that will produce the May ALUMNI MAGAZINE, and that there will be no take-over of Crosby Hall and the mag will reach all Big Greeners, I bid you a happy, if belated, spring. By now you must all have your snow blowers stashed and your snow tires put away (probably for the second time this winter), but as I write this between early April "sneak nor'easters" I don't know that I should assume that either.

Before I close, a word of thanks to those of you who have already contributed to the '70 Alumni Fund. As you know, the Fund provides the College with nearly 10% of its annual operating budget - without this alumni support many of the exciting programs which attract top students to Dartmouth would have to be curtailed. Your contribution will help keep us on top in the '70's, so don't miss this opportunity to help sustain Dartmouth's excellence.
Happy spring.
