The "boys" down in southeast Florida headed by their "peerless leader," chairman Ben Mugridge, are going all out to make the Pow-Wow the greatest ever. Every effort is being made to import our class officers from New York and New England. Your "sec." and better half from the Midwest have long since signed up-
All Dartmouthites and spouses of all classes, are cordially invited to the 1918 Pow-Wow on Thursday, March 18, 1976 at the Holiday Inn, Downtown, Route 1, Stuart, Fla., 3 p.m. till exhaustion. Write C.F. Mugridge, Apt. 4-107, 1800 S.E. St. Lucie Blvd., Stuart, Fla. 33493.
Homer Bennett, Green Valley, Ariz., writes: "18ers are scarce hereabouts. Attended dedication of the McGraw Hill observatory sponsored by Dartmouth, M.I.T., and U. of Michigan at Kitts Peak on the 15th of Nov. A marvelous look at the universe and an excellent turnout from the Tucson Dartmouth Club."
Another Great Event:
Dave Orr, Assistant Secretary of the College writes, "Your classmates will soon receive an announcement of the 7th annual Post 50-year Reunion, June 14-16. This years program has several new features. The main speaker at the Reunion Dinner will be the new Dean of the College, Ralph Manuel '58.
"The new Tuck Mall Dormitory will again serve as Headquarters and some rooms will also be available at the Lodge (formerly the Hanover Inn Motor Lodge). Rooms will be $7.00 per person per night in both dormitories.
"We are asking all those who plan to attend to let us know by returning a special card which will be attached to the reunion mailing."
I am delighted to recommend the Post 50-year Reunion. lone and I attended two years ago and found it most enjoyable and rewarding. Some of the contacts were invaluable.
18ers will want to remember that Charlie Hood, son of our own Harvey and Barbara is again in charge of the Alumni Fund (for the year 1976). We helped Charlie go over the top in '75 and will want to do our utmost to meet the still larger goal this year.
