John French, newsletter editor for a day, stressed three 1930 Bicentennial projects which bear repitition in this column.

1. We are determined to set a record for attendance at the June 14-17 reunion. At year's end, there were 81 committed classmates and 69 hopefuls. We need these and another 50 to assure a new record. Buck Steers is waiting to hear from you.

2. Ev Low is also contemplating a record setting achievement in participation and dollar giving for the Special Reunion Giving Program. At year's end, he reported gifts of $102,000 towards the preliminary goal of $200,000. Especially encouraging is the fact that this represents a five-fold increase for that group of contributors over their Alumni Fund giving for 1975.

3. Charlie Widmayer will be preparing a reunion Baker Library exhibit of significant books and articles by class members. The ground rules for entry are given in the December 31 Thirtyteer and Charlie hopes to have all submissions by mid-February.

Bob Keene from Guanajuato. "We survive well here, but face the same problems in force at home, rising costs, and workers not too anxious to work for the pay demanded. Having to rip out our whole living room which is falling apart due to very poor foundations, built with sand and cal and NO cement to give it muscle. Peter has moved his family back to Etna, and commutes to Conway to do Carroll Reed's work in his own studio there. Son Bob is setting up a dental clinic for our Church Mission in South Korea, a project he looked into there two years ago. Susan is a happy mother and hausfrau in Conway, writing cooking articles for the local paper, as did her mother. Both are great culinary aficionados. Our house here is again like the Lodge days with many folks visiting to enjoy that famous oatmeal bread of Louise's. I'm painting and enjoying the brush more than the lens now - it's a great outlet for whatever art is in me. Hasta la vista - I hope at reunion." And Louise adds "It's great when classmates show up. We love to see them."

Frank Rath. "Margaret and I are still living in Swanzey Center, N.H. and I am still very active in selling special design matchbook advertising programs to quantity users in Me., N.H., and Vt. I also create and have made ceramic and cast iron items that I sell to banks (you know what Willie Sutton said when asked why he held up banks). Actually I have the best of two worlds as I'm able to work pretty much when I want to. Our family is still scattered - Virginia, New Jersey and Texas." Great to hear from Swanzey Center and we hope the Raths will be in Hanover in June. I'd like to find out what Willie said.

Loren Heron. "Mary and I are enjoying my retirement immensely. We've roamed most of the globe and between times are having a happy and busy life at the 'Roost'." Heron Roost, that is, at Sands Point L.I. Nels Blake recently completed his sophomore year of retirement. Living at Deerfield Beach, Fla., he is doing a little research in Florida history "but not enough to spoil our fun."
