There's no news about any of the 828 men who matriculated with the Class of 1966 back in September, 1962. No news concerning any of the 550 (educated guess) women who married the 828 matriculated men. Not a word about the 750 (wild speculation) children who have been fathered by those 828 matriculated men.
This column contains not a single mention of a degree won, a career launched, a hobby pursued, a move made, a promotion received. Not a hint of political feeling, educational opinion, social comment, or a good joke.
Reading this column, each of us, and all other members of the Dartmouth family, must conclude that the Class of 1966 has and is accomplishing nothing to speak of, and, certainly, speaking of nothing.
The fact that I've managed to extend this column of "Alumni News" this far is a tribute to the ease of typing with an electric and my editor's patience. It also attests glowingly to my present situation - I ain't got nothin' to say - and yours - you ain't got nothin' to read.
Spare us all. Share the joys and triumphs. Or, at least, send in a good joke.
